Kewl Ray, glad you've got the all clear. But, there goes your leverage for any argument against the Honey Do List.

There's plenty to do. That's for sure. Finally it's a nice weekend...supposed to be around 60F. Of course I'm working overtime both Saturday and Sunday.

Hey, does anybody have the cure for someone who is unmotivated and just wants to sleep all day?

Marriage?

Now if I can just find a good woman, on my terms.

Spent some quality time with the new mower after work yesterday. The weather has been nice...in the 60's. I ran the dethatcher attachment over the front yard, and drug the thatch out into the road so it doesn't kill the grass. There must have been about ten bushels of thatch, so it definitely needed it.

Where it was the worst, I ran the leafblower over it to clear off any debris yet standing. Underneath it all there was still some stubble of grass roots showing. It's pretty thin, but at least there's something growing.

Today I think I'll hose off the back deck to clear the gunk left over from winter. That kinda gives me some reservations about it, because that was the very task that was being performed two years ago on Memorial Day weekend when I slipped, fell down the stairs and broke the wrist.

Definitely don't want to have an encore performance.

(Ray opens the garage doors and the fresh air flows in.)

I love spring.

Does it rupture my manhood that I jumped when a mouse came running by me unsuspectedly today?

Well it didn't do your manhood any good, but maybe you can recover.

I dreamed that I was bitten by several rats, all at seperate times though. But I also dreamed that I had cats that took care of that problem too though.

I dreamed once that thousands of spiders were crawling all over me and biting me. Turned out not to be a dream at all. We were camping out and laid our sleeping bags down in the dark...right on top of a spider nest. I got pretty sick.

Tractor, I need a tractor. To rent, or buy? Used is okay, but I need a front loader, scraper, and landscape rake. Will need to back fill a foundation now, then grading over the next several months to a year. Would also be nice to use to set up my new garden and clear the cart path down to the lake. I keep looking and with the economy down, I'm starting to see some deals. Was going to rent, then though hmmmm....

Twice a year--once in spring and once in fall, I spray my lawn with a mixture of beer and molasses. It gets rid of the thatch and encourages microbial activity in the soil. I have not had a problem with thatch since I began doing this over 12 years ago. I also don't use regular fertilizers. I use corn gluten meal and dry molasses and some other natural ingredients. I rarely have a problem with weeds and insects in my lawn (I do use a bait for fire ant mounds).

I keep telling my wife that too, but she keeps pointing out that it won't fit in the garden.

We have a game we play. Driving along and I see some old piece of machinery for sale, I oogle and say that I need it. Her job is to promptly say 'NO!'

I've done that too! One for the lawn, one for me...

I used to do all my own fertilizing and pre-emergent. But one year after spending $350 for one application, my brother told me I was crazy because the lawn service people will do a whole year service for $300. He was right, so now I let the lawn maintenance guys do it.
