Do you eat a lot of rabbit stew?

Usually there's not much left but a gut pile. [:D]

I heard about EMT and other emergency personnel being in very dangerous situations because they cannot tell the difference between an electric hybrid and a regular car at all. [&:]

I can see how that would be a problem...get out the jaws of life and cut through a high-voltage cable. [sm=eek.gif]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/15/2008 8:29:34 PM)

OK folks. [;)]

We're out of town on vacation. Probably will have little or no internet access for the next week. I'll poke my head in whenever I can though.

Have a safe trip. I'll be on the road for the first part of the week too... sold all of my houses this month and hafta go find more to buy and rehab. Got several cities to visit and many foreclosure sales.

Putt Putt.
I had a Mazda RX-3 back in 1973. That was a nice zoom zoom, but not like what we have today.

It will be interesting to see what we are driving in the next five years.

How do you put straight pipes or a three dueces on an electric motor?

denbert -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/17/2008 7:58:49 PM)

Very carefully

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/19/2008 1:10:43 AM)

I liked the 1980s Mazda rotary engines. My brother had an RX7 and rarely changed the oil. When he did, it came out almost as clear as when it went in...small, powerful, and efficient engines.

gmc4Jesus -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/19/2008 6:47:49 PM)

I just got a 65 blue Corvette Stingray (1:18 diecast model) for my birthday. That makes two (I also have a 2002 silver Corvette that I have had since 2002). I would like to eventually get one from each of the generations. Just for fun. Since even a used one is beyond my budget and would be a little too hard to justify, I can own a model and enjoy the lines.

denbert -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/19/2008 8:43:25 PM)

Insurance rates are cheaper for those models too.

OneJohn410 -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/20/2008 12:57:28 AM)

(In a shrill, higher-pitched voice)... "Honey, I'm about to shrink myself down to a 1/18th replica again and go for a spin around the house. Please don't step on me?... Honey? Keep the pets outside, too! I don't wanna die!"

I probably shouldn't attempt cooking, then.

At least not until OneJohn returns to normal size.

gmc4Jesus -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/20/2008 9:33:54 PM)

I'm hoping that if I water my favorite Corvette model, and fertilize it with some good Detroit Iron, that it will grow up to full size and I can take my wife with me for a ride!

I think I'll have a birthday tomorrow just for fun. Hmm! How about a Corvette for a birthday present? (I like thinking big!)

I feel the same way about a camper. Of course I'll need some extra cash just to pull it.

SteveinFlorida -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/21/2008 1:07:36 PM)

Hello, all. I was just passing through and noticed the open garage. I was wondering if you guys ever talk about hydrogen generators that are supposed to boost your fuel mileage? I built one, but it didn't work. I am pretty sure that it's because of I made it too small. Has anyone else out there tried.

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/21/2008 2:59:49 PM)

Is it me, or does there seem to be a lot of pshyco postings lately about dating and blaming the opposite sex? [&:] Also seem to be a lot of weird money questions. Glad I'm married and don't have to put up with all the courtship games, and am broke rearing kids... no worries. [:D]

OneJohn410 -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/21/2008 7:05:52 PM)

(pinches noses and goes to blow it and *pop!*, OneJohn returns to full size-again. smack, fills coffee mug 2/3 full, crack- some creamer ice cubes from freezer compartment of machine, punches blender button herebefore ignored, whirrr.... frozen frappe! Top with Redi-whip... I'm now out of breath)

Wow, what a beauty that '65 Stingray is! Sweeeeeeet! Nice car collection, GMC4, I think you should definitely let us practice you up on some hard, obscure trivia and then send you to Who wants a million bucks anywho? or whatever that gameshow is called, with all those intense spotlights.

Hey SteveinFlorida! Not all of us think Floridians are weirdo money-saving, psycho question-on-dating type of folk! I believe you ran right into the phenomenon known as the cross thread.

I personally have not tried to make hydrogen near my car engine. That sound's like an explosive idea. There's the proverbial question how did you know you built it if it didn't work? that needs saying.[:)] I must add that you Floridians don't always have to encourage your strange weather north of your line, y'know? Just keep it to yourselves and don't think anyone's jealous of it. Anyway, I hope your house is not flooded and all- interesting you had no weather update for us.

Electrician4Christ -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/22/2008 12:10:44 AM)

Hello fellow guys-

I don't have a garage yet, so this will have to do.

I am 25, married 2.5 years, and a 4th year (last year) Apprentice Electrician in the State of Oregon. I have no cool cars at this time in my life, but my 2003 Kia Rio is paid off (props to Dave Ramsey).

Unfortunately I am too young to comment on old corvettes.

Speaking of weather, though, Oregon has got to have the best weather in the country...some rain, some sun, some snow, no natural disasters worth mentionin...I wouldn't trade for anything.[:)]

SteveinFlorida -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/22/2008 1:23:51 AM)

In all my years of owning a computer I have done very little message boarding. I would, however, think that "cross thread" has nothing to do with the cross of our Lord. If not, then what? Was my question out of place? By the way, no flooding here at my house, but lots of evidence of the wind blowing.

I'm up here in NC and I want some of that rain!

stamper_ben -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/22/2008 2:06:02 PM)

Steve, I think what was trying to be said was "cross posting" rather than threading. On these forums the individual subjects are threads and the things we write are posts. If you are writing one at the same time as me and the two don't seem to make sense when read at the moment it is what's known as cross posting.

Unless of course John has knowledge of you stripping the threads in a pipe in that generator you made...[;)]

Anyway, welcome!

denbert -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/22/2008 8:12:40 PM)

-
Yep, cross threading can be a lil more discouraging than cross posting.

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (8/22/2008 9:13:59 PM)

Hey guys! [:)]

Back from vacation and its good to see the garage still standin'. And with all this talk about dating and psycho posting, sure am glad the garage is still here.

*Kicks back and relaxes in an easy chair after a long car ride*

Good to see the newcomers here. Welcome...come on in and sit a spell. [:)]

Oregon is one of the states I've never been to. Would love to visit there sometime. What's the best places to see? [sm=wave.gif]
