I hurt my back and I am worried about work. My job is mostly physical and with my back hurting I really cannot do much at all. I have taken 3 days off already and today my back still seems a bit sore and bothering me.

Have you looked into the Family Medical Leave Act? I work for a good company, and when I broke my wrist, I was off work for about two months without any problems.

We're a praise band at church. We were asked to do a benefit concert to help pay for a new roof for the church.

But that would be without pay though, which would be a problem. I may look into short term disability if I am not well enough to work by Monday.

Mine was with full pay, but I do work for a good company. Never missed a paycheck.
