HERE . . . look for the red star in the middle.

Tell you what, I'll coordinate with all the bell ringers so they only do it every other week; that we you and I could share your man; him with you one week, him answering my doorbell the next week, etc., etc.

Most (not all, I know) criminals are opportunists - if you don't give them an opportunity, you save yourself a lot of grief. I know some folks disagree with me, but no one has any right to access my house. Period. If I don't feel comfortable answering my door, for whatever reason, it won't be answered. There is nothing wrong with that. My house. My choice. My job to do whatever I need to to protect myself and my home. If it's important, they can leave me a note or something.

Sam, the topics in M&E are a cakewalk compared to the minefield in Election 2008. I've been labeled a racist for a choice of a word that honestly had no racial intent. It's been 37 years since anyone has been offended by my choice of words. That person accepted my apology, the one in the thread yesterday has blown me off as a mean bigot. And one would think that the days of Jim Crow is still the norm in the South.

I had to go look and see what you were talking about Jimbo. I think I had better stay out of those threads. I don't like to talk politics anyway. Add to that the fact I was born and raised in ALabama and some people automatically assume I am a racist.

However I do not understand how people ever think thay are going to make it to the future when they can't live in today for living in yesterday.

It's kind of sad the assumptions folks make about each other...

Actually, I take that back. It can be downright irritating...

And I used to enjoy talking politics. I think the war in Iraq thread permanently ended that... Good gravy....

There is one poster in there who makes me skin crawl whenever I see his handle... I can disagree and keep it pleasant most of the time, but he just makes me mad...
