Okay, that's kind of what I was thinking. I currently live in the Pacific Time Zone, so yes, you are 10 hours ahead. Hmmm...I may hear before I go to bed tonight depending on what time you test. (((hugs)))

Well, I'm glad you went to bed then. It was negative. Argh. I'm ok. I went back to bed after that, especially since DH was still asleep. So, I guess I'll be here for at least a little while longer. I'm a bit sad... frustrated, but overall, ok. DH & I both had baby dreams last night... that was a first for him, I believe. *sigh* AF has not arrived yet, though, so I'm still praying for something positive in a few more days, but really not getting my hopes up about that.

I'm sorry for your negative. If you don't get your period for a little bit, do you think you will test again? I tend to want to test about every 10 days or so... but everybody's different. (that is, I like to do that if I am late) It's hard not to get your hopes up, and yet remain hopeful for the desired outcome eventually. It's definitely a struggle of the thoughts/emotions.

Gina, Noelle, ajidil, and others... Will you please remind me to use the OPK tests this month? Today is Day 10 of my cycle...which according to the accompanying literature...I should be starting to test today. I think I'll wait until tomorrow though. A gentle reminder would be helpful. I go to the doctor on the 7th...which will be day 25 of cycle. Don't know why I mentioned that, but I would like to be able to tell him...hey, I am ovulating...or....I used an OPK and I'm not ovulating so I am going to need some help to ovulate. Thanks

ajidil - sorry you had a negative test...maybe test again in a couple of days, just in case? Megan, I will try to remind you about the OPK's, as I need to remind myself also. Let's pray for ovulation! I want to start testing again since we are going to start trying again this month. I just got done with my 2nd period after surgery. My first one came 2 days after the surgery, ouch! I can feel a difference though, which is good. This period was not as painful, and I didn't spot a couple of days beforehand, it just came (like the good ol' days).

My cycle seems to have regulated out somewhat too since surgery. I've still had sporadic pain though (grrr)...but no more spotting...yay! This cycle was my 3rd since surgery (like you my 1st started just a couple of days after surgery). Let's try to help each other remember these things!!! Thanks for the encouragement, ladies. God bless!!!

That's okay, ajidil. We'll be waiting on pins & needles to see what happens...as that will be longer than even your longest cycle. Have a fun trip! I actually remembered the OPK this morning...no surge yet.

I have personally found, that while you are *able* to use the OPK tests in the morning according to their literature, that they are more accurate for *me* if I use them in the afternoon. You do have to not pee for 4 hours, but I find that they are more accurate in the afternoon.

Thanks, Gina. Another negative here. I keep thinking it will be soon though...but not according to the little test strip. *sigh* Oh well...DH is somewhat laid up with his knee acting up so it's probably better if ovulation isn't for another day or two.

which brand/type of OPK do you ladies use? My doctor wants me to use Clear Blue Easy ONLY. So, I have to buy that brand. I never had any luck with the ones that I bought for cheap online anyway... I never ever ever had a positive with those... not in something like 120 days. According to my charts I did ovulate in there somewhere, but not according to those. And I used them every single day.

I tried those once, and I liked them well enough. They are definitely cheaper than the ones my doctor *insists* on. I guess she has her reasons.

I'm feeling somewhat emotional about the whole struggling to conceive thing today, and I think I could use some extra prayers, and any encouraging/sympathetic/upbeat type of words

ORIGINAL: pumpkin have you been using them when you have cervical mucous that you think would be fertile? Or what? I've pretty much been following the package directions. The kit said to start using them on Day 10 for my cycle length. I didn't begin until Day 11. Today there was finally a very faint line on the "test" side. Last strip so I have to go buy more tonight. I have had CM though & at times "ovary pains" so I am not sure what to think. Beginning to think these testing things out of boxes are all hoaxes...at least when it comes to ME!!! quote:

thanks Megan. I just really need/needed to know that someone was praying, and that maybe someone would understand.

as to the OPK's, my doctor asked me to start them on day 12. I haven't been ovulating until approx. day 18. That is within a 28 - 30 day cycle. This is still an improvement over my luteal phase without medications. My luteal phase without progesterone was only about 7 days long. With progesterone it's about 10-12 days long... so it makes it (hopefully) long enough that a fertilized egg can implant.

I've been wondering some about my phases as well as I seem to cycle, etc. pretty much like clockwork...even when I was having issues.... I'm fairly certain that DS was conceived on like day 13 or 14 of the cycle though...something like that....
