Please, orangecrush, don't give up just remember God is there right beside you ,hold on to Him It's not easy when things start to come all around you but hold on to the one that Loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for us. Please God put Your Loving Arms around this man,show him Father that You Have him protected and there is nothing that can harm him, let him see the sunshine in his life and not the dakness .In Your Blessed Name we ask and pray.Amen

Orangecrush I'm still praying for you too. Let us know what happens at the doctor's. And in addition to seeking medical help (before the appointment if you feel you need to) and reading the scriptures, try to surround yourself with positive people that love the Lord and will show you His love and patience, as much as you can. :)
I also wanted to leave a Disclaimer on the b vitamin Inositol that I had mentioned earlier as being used sometimes for OCD:
I was just reading on one site a warning about using inositol for depression or bipolar; I wouldn't know if this is true or not but in any case this is why it's important to get an accurate diagnosis and talk about what meds and vitamins etc you take (or are planning on taking) with your doctor. They also pointed out it can interact with meds you may be on, as can a lot of vitamins.

Hey Orange...suggestion for you...
Get a copy of Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind(book), and do what it says, memorize the Word, and meditate on it. Also, look for a good christian counselor in your town with a good reputation. Jesus will give you all you need, He delivered me from a stronghold of fear through his Word, so I understand :)

The doctor i have said i have classic "ocd" . Its called the doubting disease . You never feel sure about things and if you do it doesnt last long . What a battle that lies ahead . Thankyou to all of you who prayed for me !

Ok, I know how you feel with this...I seemed to always be an over thinker. I think things to death! Just do this, everytime you start to think and think, say outloud, "STOP, God clear my mind and let nothing steal my joy" Satan you are not welcome here and you do not control my mind". Every time you catch yourself starting to over think and think and you do this is will start to get alot easier...I have finally felt better now that I have really let God in my life and take over. I have no control over things I think about so what is the point to drive myself crazy. Satan knows your weakness so he naws at that, don't let him. Just take a deep breath and stay calm... God, please protect orangecrush and keep their mind clear. Give them peace of mind and only to think of you, that your arms are around them keeping them calm. Do not let anything else enter orangecrushes mind that will distract them from you...

Orangecrush, still praying for you. Remember things may take a little while to turn around, even if your doctor has put you on medication, but do keep him updated on how you are feeling. But also trust God is leading you to better days, and in the meantime practice filling your mind with good thoughts and try to keep near to whatever helps you to feel the goodness and love of the Lord. It's helped me when I'm particularly down to remember psalm 43:5
"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."
God is hearing your every prayer (and ours for you too) whether or not it feels that way just now. Remember, God says in Jeremiah 33:3
"Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things..."
You may not feel like it now, but things will get better, one step at a time. Remember God's promise to you is:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~Jeremiah 29:11

Orangecrush, please realize that what you are feeling is part of the disorder. It is not you in any way, so there is nothing wrong with you at all. If you can get a hold of that in your mind, I know it is hard, then maybe that could help. Try to separate that from your reality. I know it's hard.
Lord, please be with Orangecrush. Please let him know what it is exactly that he can do to find you. Lord, please forgive him for any sins, and give him comfort during this tumultuous time. Let him know that You are God and You are stronger than this disease. Thank you Lord in Jesus' name, Amen.

orangecrush--I am not trying to pry or anything, but if I may ask what is the fear or doubt you are having?? I am so sorry you are going through this. What has the dr said about this, are you taking meds or anything? Everytime you start having that doubt, fear come around just say out loud something soothing or something like I love you jesus over and over, or I am a child of God over and over and satan should leave....He knows this is your weakness and continues to naw at you with this fear/doubt..Don't let him win, just keep your head up and let nothing get you down please....Please let us know how things are going and what the dr said about this, I mean what does the dr plan to do for you? Again, I don't want to pry but I am concerned for you...I feel so strongly about this only because I had the OCD with thinking 24/7..It drove me nuts!! That is my weakness as well but i finally got it under control only because I knew the things I thought about were not under my control so why was I driving myself crazy thinking about it, so I just kept talking, praying to God and eventually I forgot about my thoughts...

Glad you checked in with us and I would be interested in the answers to Itlyn's questions too. It's ironic that God would bring some of us who have had the same problem to pray for you....God has helped me to get things under control too....so don't give up hope; God is for you and will help you. If if your doctor isn't helping you remember can always go to another doctor.

The doctor says i have "ocd' . Hes a christian so he understands . I am taking meds now . It will take a couple of weeks to see what happens .

OC- don't be embarrassed, we are here to pray for you and for you to lean on us if you need to. I feel so awful that you are dealing with this. I am so sorry. It is never ever too late to come to God, he already knew when you would come to him before you did. He knows all..You are his child so once you are saved and ask for forgiveness it is forgiven. You never have to think about it again because you repented...I am still learning so much, and I am dealing with a pretty serious situation myself right now. I have a heavy burden on my shoulders and can only pray that it is handled and I can live in peace...I pray that you have peace and joy in your life and you can start living and your brain stops going and going...I wish calmness and quiet for you and I know it will happen very soon...Just keep praying and talking to god constantly, 24/7 if yo\u have to!!!
