Orangecrush, probably everybody who is ocd who has gotten saved has gone through what you have, and I am no exception. I even went through it years later (again) when something a pastor said sort of triggered the whole same sort of experience, probably because of other things I was going through or my chemistry out of whack or something.... But look, here's something Jesus said that meant a lot to me and perhaps it will mean a lot to you too if you read it prayerfully and dwell on it: All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. John 6:37 Once I understood that once you are saved you are saved forever (which took me years to understand), it made a world of difference with my life and mind because (the way I see it) the devil couldn't use this fear anymore to try to get me off track of getting on with the business of learning to grow in and love the Lord. God's word also says of Jesus that "... he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Since you HAVE come to Jesus you have been saved to the uttermost, and your salvation is assured by His intercession-- in other words because HE LIVES you are saved and will remain saved. (A different pastor explained this to me. :)) Jesus will never die again, right? Then you cannot die spiritually either if you have come to him to be saved, as I know you have. REst in that brother, and bathe your mind as ItlynKC says, in prayer, and also the scriptures, Christian music and fellowship. Jot down scriptures that are comforting to you on index cards (this has helped me at different points in my life) and keep them in places where you can turn to them or glance up at them for support, like up on the mirrors or cupboards. Also it helps to find something else to think about, a hobby or a good book, Christian or otherwise. Remember God promises that "All things work together for good to those who love God...", so maybe somewhere down the road when you are feeling more stable, God will use your experiences to help others-- maybe even now this discussion will help someone else reading out there who is going through something similar. We are praying and don't be embarassed; we do understand and so does God.
