Lord I pray you lift up OC today and help him to know you are with him and are guiding him and that he hasn't messed up too much, nor can he ever. Help him to rest on you Lord and surround him with Christian friends who will uplift him. Guide him to the right medical and spiritual help too and keep him from despair, and bring him soon to brighter days. ...In Jesus name amen.

Praying for you also OC . Please let us know how it goes tomorrow and tell the doctor everything you've been experiencing that you can think of. And do consider asking him about adding inositol to whatever you are doing. Remember Jesus loves and understands you and cares what you are going through. He won't abandon you, and you will come through this a stronger person.

i went to my doctor . he changed my medication . i have to take pain medication for a ruptured disk and i feel guilty about that to . my whole body feels awefull . the ocd is better for a few hours and then im back worrying if im saved again . on the other hand God has showed me some things i didnt know . i only thought i knew . he showed me how He can be just and be mercifull to me a real sinner . ive had a warped veiw of God my whole life and didnt know it . im so critical of myself that i thought He was to . its amazing how disabling it is when your scared that youv sinned to much . im barely able to go to church . im so worn out that i cant think so this probably sounds stupid , im sorry . i just want to say if not for Gods grace i would be in hell right now .

I'm pretty new here. I've been reading the posts and praying but I haven't posted anything. My heart breaks for you! I've been praying for you!
Jesus loves you SO much! I just want to offer encouragement to you. The OCD may put doubts in your mind but nothing can ever stop God from loving you. The very fact that you are worried about being saved proves that you are saved! Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.

Scripture promises also may help you as they are God's assurances to us.
Maybe I'll post some that have meant a lot to me later. I said a prayer for your disk problem OC.

Write these (and others that may be a help) on index cards and keep them where you can see them. This has helped me in the past.

orangecrush I want to let you know God accepts you just as you are. Theres nothing you can do to change His mind about you. He loves you just as you are. His GRACE goes beyond anything you can ever think do or imagine. just let go and accept that God accepts you just as you are. Not only that but you ARE deserving everything from God because of His free abundant grace alone.
I struggle with those lies every day in my mind. My friend told me once emotions are real, but theyre not always true.

Sometimes we think that God gave us his commands for the wrong reasons. The fact is that God created us in His image. So, if we are to be happy, our lives need to be lived in line with God's character. Otherwise, our actions will be inconsistent with how we are made and they bring pain to us. God, therefore, did NOT give us his commands to condemn us. He gave them to us so that we could avoid pain. He gave them to us because he loved us.
But, some people (even ourselves) look at the commands and us, when we fail to follow them, and misuse the commands to lay condemnation and shame on us. Repentence, means TURNING AROUND AND GOING THE OTHER WAY. Once you have done that, you have left disobedience behind and are, once again, walking in line with the character of God. You are now walking TOWARD GOD. That is why the Bible says, "There is NO condemnation to those that are in Christ." It means exactly what it says. NO! NONE! ZIP! 
Now, here is the sticky part for we poor humans. Memories are actual, physical, molecular structures in our brains. And, as I have written earlier, until we modify these memories by bringing every memory and every thought into captivity, they keep popping up spontaneously... as you are experiencing. Years ago most people thought that it was impossible to nullify painful memories. But, recent discoveries show us that we CAN and that is DIRECTLY in line with what the Bible has always taught. Go back to my earlier post for the link to a set of DVDs that I think would be a tremendous help to you, even though you are visiting a counselor. I doubt that there is anyhing in the DVDs that would negate what your counselor would say to you. And, it definitely would not urge you to get off your medications until your counselor says to. It would, however, greatly enhance your CHRISTIAN life with new knowledge about how to apply the Scriptures. We always known these Scriptures to be true; but, for the first time we have scientific help in applying them.
I'm very proud of you for having the courage to do everything you can to find a solution. Some people just wallow in their pain and I don't see you doing that. 
You are MUCH closer to relief than you actually know.

Where to start ? hmmm ? Well God has given me much grace and mercy . He has showed me that although im unworthy He could save even me , Romans 5:6 " Christ died for the ungodly" and because of Romans 4:5 " He justifies the ungodly " . Wow what beatiful words to me ! All my trust is to Him "Christ" for salvation plus nothing . Im relying upon Gods ability because of what Christ has done for me , even me ! Before i couldnt see how God could forgive me im so awefull and still be just . Now i know how because He punished Christ so I could have a relationship with Him . Wow Jesus took away all my sins !!!!!!!!! I give all the glory to God only He could enable me to believe . Thankyou Lord Jesus Christ it really means alot to me that you love even me !!!!!!!
It also helped that He showed me the autobiagraphy of John Bunyan . Its true that there is no new temptations although i had to go back 400 years to find someone who went through what i am . If God leads you , for those who prayed for me , read that book and youll see what im going through . I am so glad to hear what God has been showing you. Yes! and Amen! Thank you Lord! It is only because of Christ that we are justified, as you say, plus nothing! You know I was kind of concerned as we hadn't heard in awhile from you, and was praying last night, so I thank Him (and you!) that you posted today to tell us what He has been doing in your life.
