It seems doubts and fears have attacked me . Ive lived in utter fear for the past year . I dont know if its from my ocd disorder or if its spiritual .i know preachers where im from say there is no such thing as mental problems like "ocd" . The fear , panic , and allthe "what ifs" has nearly destroyed me . I feel like im barley hanging on . Im willing to trust in the God of the bible . My prayer is He would forgive and help me not to doubt Him . It just seems like i cant get a hold of Him with my mind or brain the way it is . Im really scared .

I know this sounds crazy , sorry .[sm=worried.gif]

Thank you Jesus orangecrush has broken free from the spirt of fear, but receives your spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Thank you Jesus he embraces you with no hesitation and believes you are the "God of the bible." Thank you Jesus his heart is calling out to you and asks for your total and complete healing in Jesus name. Amen.

Orangecrush, please go to another church. What they are saying to you is straight out of the middle ages. My gosh all you need is guilt on top of everything else you're going through! OCD is primarily a biological thing, many (or most?) doctors now believe. My nephew is on medication which helps him control it. Inositol (a b vitamin) can often be very helpful too; psychiatrists use it sometimes with medications to help OCD sufferers with good affects. So this to me points to a deficiency of the brain, definitely not a spiritual problem. (In fact my nephew is probably the most spiritual of my brother's kids, and a very kindhearted young man.) Have a talk with your doctor. This is a year of new beginnings. Start it out right by seeking the medical help you need. ((Orangecrush))) I have experienced a lot of what I think you are going through myself in the past and I believe I am OCD also.

The devil likes to use our physical weaknesses to bring us down/ deceive us but the truth is GOD WILL NEVER give up on you or let you go! When I finally came to realize this it helped me tremendously, even though I was/am still bothered by repetitive thoughts to some extent. Here is a verse to think about which you may be familiar with, from Philippians 1:6:

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Steve Green has a beautiful song of comfort based on this verse. Here's a link to the lyrics:

Maybe you could pick up a cd of his music or other Christian music at a Christian bookstore as listening to Christian radio and music can be quite helpful too. After all the Lord tells us (in Philippians 4:8):

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

This is NOT to say that your problem is spiritual, not at all. But it's helpful to try and dwell on the positive stuff (takes a bit of practice sometimes). And I really think it might also help to have a talk with someone professionally. Please pray about it. We're praying for you and God will bring you through this to brighter days and a happier outlook. Then you will be able to encourage others that God will do the same for them.

Please go see a doctor and get yourself some help. I think it's a physical/chemical problem. Not spiritual at all. I've been there and thinking it was spiritual nearly killed me. I'm on meds now and doing so much better!!!!! Love to you.

orangecrush, the deceiver came to cursh, kill and destroy. He is the Father of all lies. Don't believe him. Just look to the Lord and keep trusting in Him and His word.
