Thank You Lord for this lovely sunny mild day today after a few chilly days. Thank YOu for helping me to do my "To do list" for todoy and multitasking without losing conrol or in a hurried mode [:D] and becoming less than Jesus.

Thankful for people who band together with fellow Christians & accept the Grace to disregard so-called denominational lines to pray and then to actually do the things required to assist others in need on a regular basis and also in times of crisis such as all the storm devastation this past week.

I am thankful for the wonderful parents I had. Even though they are passed on, I am thankful for what lives on in ME--- of them.
I also am thankful for my love of working with children, and helping to teach them, as my amazing parents did in Math and in Social Studies.
For what a good example my parents were of how to love, and always keep learning.
Miss them, but so thankful they were my parents...Mike and Rho.

Thankful this morning for all the beautiful & brightly colored birds at the feeders, and that I am able to see & hear them, Lord, when we know of many who are not enabled with eyesight or hearing.
The beauty in nature that our Lord Created is astounding.

I am thankful for my friend who allowed me to stay at her house all weekend. We had so much fun and she helped me out so much on one project, and also has been an excellent source of Christian support for me during my roughest times, and a wonderful friend.

I am thankful for this time I get to spend with my cat and at my own house today. I am thankful for my parents. I am thankful for God's grace and everlasting love and forgiveness. I am thankful that Jesus Christ died on the cross for me. I am thankful for the beautiful wind blowing outside today, as it reminds me of God's power and strength, and it is a beautiful blessing to watch. I am thankful for this website for offering me compantionship at this time because I am a little lonely, but I know I can pray for others and celebrate others' blessings today.

for the mercy of God
for the justice of God
for the faithfulness of God

that he forgives us
that he discipline's us in love
that he never forsakes us and never gives up on us.

for the opportunity to love like he loves
for the opportunity to sharpen the character of the people in my life as they sharpen mine
for the opportunity to be challenged to be more committed to what is right and good, to be brought closer and closer into the image of Christ.

God is with us

us...

in all our imperfection and yuck and stupidity and foolishness and failure and insecurity and weakness...
He is here to love us in our sin,
to help us to change,
to show us a better way,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

That totally and completely boggles my mind.
And I'm just so thankful

I forgot who started this thread but it is very timely. On the heels of so much heartache and of difficult times... that is when people begin to examine their own hearts and to seek a fresh outpouring -- revival so to speak.

Praising God... that is what ushers in Revival, always has. God's presence draws near when we love on him. How many of us would turn a child away that has come to express pure and sincere love for us? When they simply want to crawl up in our lap, put their chubby little toddler arm around our neck, and with their face almost too close to ours to actually see anything but those big trusting, precious eyes, they say that they just want to thank us....

our daddy is no different, except that his embrace returned, his smile, his returned affection that was just waiting for an opportunity to express itself... is from the heart of God and is tenderness perfected.

my husband and I have scoured the internet trying to find the song I quoted earlier. It's an oldie.
He just sent me a link to a free public download. The song is #8 Ain't God Good. Enjoy <3

Thank you Lord that you are faithful to every promise made to us.
Thank you Lord that no matter what measure of rebellion our teens walk in, when we have trained them in the way that they should go, they will not depart from it.

Thank you that my son has initiated a Bible Study at the college for his peers.
Thank you for the student center of one of the churches near the campus and the people of that denomination that have encouraged him in his walk and given him opportunity to do this. Bless them.
Thank you that you have brought my son back to the zeal for you and for your word that he had as a child.

I praise you Lord

Thankful that the freezing rain & ice caused no damage, only minor & short-lived power outages & no severe accidents around here.

Thankful for going out shopping with my neighbour and have him carry the heavy grocery bag for me and for the lovely supper I fixed today.

Also, thankful for the sunny day today even tho it was very chilly. Thank You Lord; You are SO SWEET and Dependable!!!

My safety. I know a lot of people out there are not safe in their own houses, I'm thankful I found a safe haven. I pray that others can find that soon, and that violence can come to a hault in the homes.

I'm thankful for my life, my son, my home. I have been so humbled due to recent events in my life that everything seemed as though I took my life and the people around me for granted. I have always been thankful and appreciative of everything, but I failed to let others know just how thankful I really was.
