I think I have to agree with the one of no one very truly loving me. It all has felt conditional. And yes, I know that only Jesus provides unconditional love, it'd be nice to feel something close from another human being.

I usually wake up with a worship song singing in my head!

How cool, Ed!!!

I think it's true.... I do think Jesus sings over us when we sleep!

Going along with the theme...........going to bed and waking up in the arms of the Lord as he sings a sweet love song over me...........makes me smile and gives me such dailyjoy.........

This morning I woke up singing a silly song from way back when.........funny the birds seemed to know the song as well........

This is the day
This is the day
That the Lord hast made
That the Lord hast made
We will rejoice
We will rejoice
And be glad in it
And be glad in it

For this is the day that the Lord hast made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day, this the day
that the Lord hast made.

Oh by the way.....

Good morning Joy walkers.................

I used to play it on guitar, and if I had the chords for it, still could to this day.

I'm not around today - WAY too much work to do, and people are being squirrelly in my office.

Yeah funny how I can't seem to remember the words to new songs unless I am singing with others.........yet the songs from growing up I remember.....

Now I am singing

Jesus took my burden's and rolled them in the sea
He rolled them in the sea
He rolled them in the sea
Jesus took my burden's and he rolled them in the sea
never to be remember any more

Now I am so happy
So very happy
I'm happy as happy can be
I'm so happy
So very happy
I'm as happy as happy can be

Does anyone else make up words to songs as they are singing?

Does anyone ever sing the "other" version of Amazing Grace?

Which one?

*puts on music geek hat*

There's actually a multitude of different ways to sing Amazing Grace. That's because it is a common meter - which is defined by the number of syllables in each stanza. Some hymnals have an index in the back that is organized by the "type of meter" (Metrical index). Therefore, any hymn that has the same meter can be sung to the tune of a different tune, as long as the meter is the same.

Amazing Grace's meter is commonly referred to Common Meter, or 8.6.8.6.
Amazing grace how sweet the sound (8 syllables)
That saved a wretch like me (6 syllables)
I once was lost but now am found (8)
Was blind but now I see (6)

It can be sung to: Gilligan's Island, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Sweet Home Alabama....

Amazing Grace...........

Amazings Grace how sweet the sound
that saved a wrench like meeeeeeeeeeeee
I once was lost
but now I am found
was blind but now I see

Now here is where you kick it up a notch. In a jazzing low key

male.....Now let us singgggggggggggggggggggggg

female.........sing to the power of the Lord come down

male........Now let us singgggggggggggggggggggggggg

female.........sing to the power of the Lord come down

male........lift up your voice

female.......be not afraid

All........sing to the power of the Lord comes down

All........sing praise ,sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, sing praise, sing praisessss

All.........sing praise to the power of the Lord comes down.

Hmmmmmmm reading it back through it just does not type well.....definitely a song which has to be heard not read.

This was our song in the car......we sang it all the time and belted it out as loud as we could.........

Since my father was the only male I always sang the bass with him.....I loved seeing how low I could go with Now let us sing LOL

Funny the girls have a song they love to sing real loud in the car which reminds me of how we would sing this song.

They sing Ray Boltz's "Say Jesus Real Loud"

Once Sky was standing in line with me at the store, singing the song when she got to the part........What if I said Jesus real loud......and she did.......she sang that part real loud........LOL

How did you know I was switching voices?

I still love the bass........Now let us singggggggggg

And you have to hold the sing the whole time the girls are singing Sing to the power of the Lord come down

I can't seem to figure out how to get my low note to hold while I sing the high part.....

I loving singing.........even if I don't have a good voice.....I still love it.

you all are having fun with this music stuff today. LOL Thanks for the chuckles while I'm crazy busy at work.

My joy today will be going to church for a great service and talking with the pastor's wife afterwards, and then talking with someone about the training I'm doing this weekend.
