How long have you been working at your present job? I'll be working at my present job for 2 years on March 17th.

Next May it will be 9 long years working for my present employer. My job duties have changed over time - mostly responsibilities have been added when employees left the company and management didn't want to hire a replacement.
So does that count as the same job?

I have been with my employer for 2 years and 1 month; in my current position (which was a promotion and move from pt to ft) 10 months.

I plan to move on in September, but might cut back to part-time in April (assuming I graduate from grad school on time) and get a position closer to home (have to stay atleast part time until Sept because of tuition reimbursment).

I really like my job, though, and will miss certain aspects- great benefits, great coworkers, my own office, laid back environment, etc. but I want something that will allow me to more directly impact people.

I've been here almost 7 years (this July). I like my work, and my job description has changed a lot. Started as a clerk, moved to AP, now I'm HR and those duties are shifting to another office. I started with 3 other women, now its just me. Corporate America took over...

I started my current job in September 2004. It's a large internet company that is about to endure a takeover by another internet giant, so I may be out of a job soon! But God is in control [;)]

For me, 20 years as wife and then mom. No pay, but terrific benefits! [:D]

Husband has had his current job 8 years, and enjoys it.

This job, 12-1/2 yrs.
Other jobs: 13 years as an adjunct professor; 13 years self-employed as a consultant; 10 years in hospital administration.

Some of this is concurrent -- I'm not that old.

14 years with my employer (USPS), 10 years at my current facility, about 3 years at my current position. God has been good to me, and I am grateful.

I have been in my current job for 8 years.

I have been in my current position for 10 months.

It gets better every day i think .

I'm actually a consultant; but, the oldest of my current clients goes back 24 years and with my largest current client it's been more than 15 years.

If anyone had told me that I would be working with the same clients for that many years I would have never believed it. In fact, I might not have even taken them on! Fortunately, other clients and projects have come and gone and the largest client is, itself, a consulting organization so the work keeps relatively fresh. [:D]

The funny thing is that I could never imagine myself working for ANYBODY that long. [sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif]

Only 5 months this time around, but I worked for this same employer for 6 1/2 years, left for 18 months, and was hired back when I moved back to this area.

YARD[civil service].So over 41 years from apprentice to mechanic to

ive been working for Kroger for 3 years and as a few of yall have said my responsibilites(SP) have increased because they dont want to hire new ppl. but i actually like my job(the people make it the best)

I've been a teacher for 6 years and I've been at my current school for 2 years. I'm quitting in June because my husband is graduating [:D] I don't know where I'll work after that.
