They announced today the show schedule for DWTS's 2....so I wanted to start a thread about it!!!!

HERE is the official site and all they say about it.
here is a list of the essential information from there....
  • The First Results Show, on Tuesday, March 25, Will Feature a DOUBLE ELIMINATION, a First in Dancing With The Stars History
  • Six teams will strut their stuff on Monday night, while the other six teams will show off their moves on TUESDAY, MARCH 18 (9:00-10:30 p.m., ET). All twelve couples will perform a second routine the following week on MONDAY, MARCH 24 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), before the first elimination, TUESDAY, MARCH 25 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on Dancing with the Stars the Results Show, where for the first time in the show's history, two couples' fates will be determined in a dramatic double elimination.

    OK...here's the line-up of stars this time around....
    ADAM CAROLLA - host of the Los Angeles based and nationally syndicated morning radio program; actor/comedian
    CRISTIÁN DE LA FUENTE - Spanish television star
    SHANNON ELIZABETH - Actress/model
    STEVE GUTTENBERG - Actor
    MARIO -R&B/Pop singer and actor
    MARLEE MATLIN -Actress
    PENN JILLETTE - one-half of the famous illusionist team Penn & Teller
    PRISCILLA PRESLEY -Actress, producer and entrepreneur
    MONICA SELES -Tennis champ
    JASON TAYLOR - This year's NFL Man of the Year Award Winner and last year's NFL Defensive Player of the Year
    MARISSA JARET WINOKUR - best known for creating the role of "Tracy Turnblad" in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray
    KRISTI YAMAGUCHI - An Olympic Gold medalist and World Champion figure skater

    Pretty weak field as far as "star power" goes. Steve Guttenberg? Isn't that the guy from the Short Circuit movies?

    Oh yeah, I can't wait!

    I found an article that explains who these people are and who they are paired with.

    My kids loved Short Circuit 1.

    I need to see what CRISTIÁN DE LA FUENTE sounds like, I watch Ugly Betty and I guess he's been in that.

    I watch Ugly Betty too and I'm assuming that he's on the telenovela that Betty's Dad watches all the time because I can't recall him on any of the major stories.

    I'm looking forward to the next season. Although I don't know many of these celebrities, I'll still enjoy watching them improve from week to week.

    I'm watching it right now. It's pretty good, but I sure wish the girls would be a little more covered up. I can't wait to see Kristi Yamaguchi skate tomorrow night.

    As much as I like Penn (from Penn and Teller) I seriously doubt that he is going to make it...

    Looks to me like they've stacked the deck against the guys this year. The closest any of them came to actual dancing was Mario and Karina. The rest weren't much better than Elaine on Seinfeld.

    I thought Jason was also good last night. I am looking forward the ladies though. I want to see Kristie and the girl from Hairspray (broadway).

    I thought Jason did fairly well last night too.

    lol...yeah but he was comical!!!! At this point I would much rather see Adam go home though because I personally DO NOT appreciate the words they let slip by in that time frame (when KIDS would be watching!!!) from his mouth when the judge was giving her opinion of his performance. After hearing that, I don't care if he is good or not, I think he needs to go. I know he is a writer and has a radio show and he uses fowl language like that all the time, but they shouldn't have allowed that to happen!!! I AM MAD!!!!! I would much rather see a comical Penn sorta dance, and make me (and my kids) laugh, then hear words like that because someone doesn't like what a judge said.

    I couldn't believe it either, I wasn't sure I saw what I thought he said so I rewound it to see. I hope they talked to him about it and that it doesn't happen again.

    I didn't record it, so I couldn't rewind it...but I was very certain of what I heard and saw his lips say. I am thinking of writing them an
    email about that....it's definitely something I am THAT mad about!!!

    ETA...ok...I did send them an email about it....not that I expect them to write me back though.

    yeah I know...he only said it to the only female judge and her opinion...and considering that all three gave him a 5 in their scores, he didn't impress any of them...not just her opinion...KWIM?
    Like I said...I would much rather see Penn trip over his two left feet, then listen to that junk on there.

    I didn't see Adam say anything, so I can't comment, but Carrie-Ann always finds one guy to drool over. Looks like Mario's the winner this year. I had to laugh when Bruno said to Karine "What is it with you and Mario's?"
