Sorry to see Shannon and Derek go. I think that Cristian needs to have that surgery instead of postponing it until later. He could aggravate it even further and it's like he's not going to win or anything. I think it will be Kristi and Jason in the final two.

I was surprised to hear that Cristian plans to continue with a ruptured tendon -- I thought that sounded pretty serious. There are only about three weeks left in the competition, though.

Fake butt...that's funny. She's a very bony girl. You gotta have a little curve to pull off some of those dances.

I hate to see Shannon go mostly because I hate to see Derek go. He's a cutie!!!

I hope Marissa just keeps on going. She's doing great!

haven't been able to watch in a few weeks....it's about halfway through the first round now. Everyone is awesome so far, the scores are very close...but then they're always that way this late in the season.
I'm totally stoked about the 100th episode tomorrow, there ought to be some neat stuff

Maks Tony has so much fun with Marissa. Too bad they'll probably be eliminated tonight. I just can't picture anyone else going tonight unless fans forgot to vote for someone.

Cristian was great. I only saw him wince once. It was during the tango so it kinda fit in with the dance.

I give him a 10 for sheer guts. And I think he actually danced better than he ever has last night. That tango was impressive.

I agree with Laura. As good as Marissa is, she's still a little below Jason, Kristi, and Cristian. It's going to be a very interesting final, probably between Jason and Kristi. No prediction on the winner, it's just too close.

I agree. She's a sweetie but just not the caliber of dancer as the others. I haven't been terribly impressed with Mario either, thoug, and I don't know if his usual fan base watches this.

Cristian was the best I've ever seen him.

I didn't like her dress last night. It looked like it would slide down any second.

Edita was nearly naked.

just finished watching last night's dances. marissa did great...she is such a trooper! she just gets better and better...unfortunately, i don't think she's up to "final 3" calibre. i think this is her last week. (and tony just rises higher and higher in my opinion. kudos to him. just the height difference has to make choreography challenging!)

although....mario is pretty hit or miss anymore. as len has said, he just isn't elegant enough for ballroom. but heavens...the boy can "latin" all over the place! lol he just isn't one of my favs. (karina...oyyyy...she just rubs me wrong. enough said.)

i have to say....kristi and mark disappointed me this week. just not enough "umph!" yes, she's always "on" technically, but "it" just wasn't there this week. i think she deserved to drop in scores.

even jason and edyta seemed to be less enthralling than usual...for me, anyhow. but i am always amazed at how such a tall, long-limbed man can be that graceful and smooth. i just think he was concentrating more and "emoting" less this week. but still very good.

and finally cristian. ohhhhh my!!!!!! more latin dance numbers, please!!!!! (fanning self) one-armed or no...he NAILED both dances!!! cheryl did an outstanding job choreographing around his injury. they absolutely deserved top spot!

Mario. Which was a bit of a surprise. I guess America finds Marissa more likable. But he was really classy about it. He impressed me when he said the "real stars" are the ones fighting to defend our country. I noticed something about some of the pros last night. It was obvious after watching the 10 best dances. Most of the pros, especially Cheryl, work really hard to choreograph a routine that makes their partners stand out. Edyta choreographs to make herself stand out.

yeah I have noticed that too Laura...said it to hubby a few times.

I was pulling for Christian to get booted off...not because he danced badly, but for his personal safety. He won't step down from the competition and needs to have that surgery and follow his dr's advice. So since he has no sense to do it for himself, I was hoping he would go. Oh well.

I've often said that Edyta is more into what she can do than what her partner can do. She often dances rings around her partner - who "holds" more than dances. (We call her "Miss Nothing-Much-On" at my house.)

Wow! I was surprised that Mario went, but I'm glad Marissa's still in this. While she's not top material, still she has improved every week. Mario seems to have gone a little flat.

Cheryl did do a good job choreographing around Cristian's injury, but then she has always catered to her partner's strengths and weaknesses. They both deserve kudos for this week, but I, too, am worried about his arm.

I think people don't care for Edyta. She has been on the show all six seasons and has never won. A couple of times she did have partners that were clunkers.

I agree with the others-people are tired of her showing off and her lack of dress.

I noticed that Marissa's extension has really improved the past couple of weeks. I thought she would be voted off this week and Mario next week, but I guess since Mario left, she will go next week.

I wonder did Marissa's weight did her in in the voting because she was voted off tonight. She is not "the perfect dancer" and everyone knows that society do not like those who are not "normal size because society is still into this perfect size 6 mentality.

I'm not saying that she should have been in this competition, because she deserved to be there to send a message to those doubters that people of normal size can do it, but unfortnuatly society still views those who are not normal sized that they are viewed as they sit around all day and eat and eat and eat and not being active.

But by her being in the competition, it would inspire those to get off the couch and excerize.
