So, all that to say - I was more concerned with whether drastically cutting my carb intake would be bad for nursing. Some women get emotional after having a baby, others are just fine. Some people get emotional when they start cutting carbs, others are fine. If, for any reason, you suspect you're going to feel below par from cutting carbs then don't do it ~ because ultimately what is bad for you, probably isn't going to help baby either (I don't mean nutritionally here, but if you're upset and tense, those feelings may be passed on too). Carbs give a lot of energy ~ something that you may well need at this time. Tammy, as I said earlier, I'm sure that there are many who would say there won't be a problem in you drastically cutting your carb intake while you're nursing, but is it really worth the risk? Why not switch carbs ~ instead of white bread, eat bread with 'bits' in it. Instead of potatoes, have sweet potatoes ~ and have less of them than you usually would.
