I did the math, if I pushed for 40 minutes(although I think it was more like 30 minutes) at 3.5 minute intervals that was about 11.5 pushes, lol. So it was pretty quick for the first baby!

I pushed three times with Nadia and she was out. But, then again, I was in labor, most of which was hard, for 20 hours. So I think it's a fair exchange. You know, I was talking with hubby last night and told him why I wasn't moving around in my labor with nadia. I had talked about standing and doing all this stuff, but the first and only time I got out of bed, I spilled 'water' all over the floor. The look on the nurses face who had to clean it up made me feel so awful. Like I was pooping on the floor or something. Come to find out later this nurse was in the middle of passing a kidney stone, went home early. When she came back after I had Nadia, she was a gem!! But anyway, I felt bad for leaking fluid all over the floor, so I stayed in bed. That, and everytime I moved it brought on another contraction. Had I been thinking (this is why I want a doula) I would've gotten on my hands and knees to relieve the pressure on my cervix. Anyway, I told hubby that this time I am not going to worry about leaking and that's what chux pads are for!! It was neat, he was holding onto me yesterday in a sweet hug from behind and we started to sway and I said, you know you can do this in labor, it's called labor dancing. And he said, I can do that!! It was neat for him to 'know' something he could do. And it felt real nice, even nicer when we are facing each other!! It relieves the pressure on the hips. Anyway, thought I would share that. Also I have this weird question, everytime I wake up in the morning I feel for my uterus. Sometimes it feels like it's just about mid way between my belly button and my pubic bone, where it should be. But sometimes it feels like it's at my belly button. Now that can't be right. What's up with that? Of course, I'm not a trained mw or dr, so I don't really know waht I'm feeling for, but I do have a some idea. Anyway, I'm sure it's fine. I'm just glad it's growing!!

I hope to not scream this time. I surprised myself -and Paul! - that I did scream. I didn't push for long - like 16 minutes total - but there were tons and tons of people in the room, they were getting a team of people ready for Judah, they were worried about Judah's heart rate... they had me thoroughly terrified and all they would tell me was to get the baby out. So I think the screams were in response to my fear, not my pain level.

Hi ladies, sorry I can't respond to anyone right now. Just wanted to ask for some prayers. I've been really sick since Saturday and it just seems to be getting worse. I'm worried about the baby with being so sick - he's been so quiet since this started. I'm having a hard time getting any food down. Anyway, your prayers would mean a lot to me. Thanks.

I don't think I screamed, loud moaning more like it. I did have a lot of verbal prayers though. Like 'Help me Jesus!' It's all I could think of at the time. I've got a tmi question, (although I'm beginning to wonder if in this thread there is anything too tmi) anyway. I know when a woman is pregnant she makes more vaginal secretions. Well from the beginning of this pregnancy mine has ranged from clear to really yellow. It goes back and forth. At my midwife exam two weeks ago she did do the typical vaginal swab and hasn't called, so I'm assuming it's ok. It doesn't smell bad, in fact it smells like it always has, clean is the only way to say it. Most of the websites I read say that if it's yellow you need to call your dr. But it's ranged my entire pregnancy. I wonder, though, if it's more yellow when I haven't drank enough, or if after I've taken my vitamin. What do you think?

Doctors really don't make it easy to ask questions I always see a student doctor, then a regular OB doctor, and then before I leave the high risk doctor just goes over everything the other two did and sends me on my way. I never ask student doctor questions. Most of the time I direct my questions at the regular Doctor, unless they are specific towards my cerclage, then I just say that I have a question for Dr. Y**. So today regular doctor was finishing up and asked if I had any questions. I said yes, but that I'd prefer to ask Dr. Y** my question. No problem, she said. She left to get Dr. Y** and a few minutes later ALL THREE doctors return. Normally I don't care, but it was a slightly embarrassing question to ask, and on top of it all the student was a young guy who'd been all cool and googley eyed over Judah and it was just weird. Oh well, at least I got my important question answered. Which, in a nutshell and leaving out many details, is that I often get a lot painful pressure in my cervix from the stitch pulling. The doctor is concerned about that, and said that they'll go back to ultra sounds every two weeks (it looked good before, so she was going to reduce the amount to every 3 weeks). So they'll stay on top of my cervical length. If it gets to 2.5 then she'll put me on bedrest and then assess how it shortens from there on out.

Jessica, I really respect your attitude through your pregnancy. Out of everyone I know, you've had the most... complications/differences and yet you have this attitude and perspective that just outshines the rest. I admire that quite a bit. I have a tv show called Alias that I can send you if you go on bed rest. It's five seasons! :) (((((((((((((((Lilly))))))))))))))))))))) Stay hydrated, girl! That's THEE most important thing. Dehydration can cause contractions. Dance: I am so excited for you!!!!!!!!! Babyshowers are lots of fun and it feels good to be acknowledged! Let us know how it goes :) Kathryn: I don't have any answers. If it persists I say call your nurse/doctor and ask them. My doctors nurse and I have become pretty close :) lol ~~~ I won't be here long; I just wanted to update you briefly. As of my last post I was frustrated at the fact that my home wasn't clean. I never articulated this with Jason - I just vented with you ladies. After he came home on Saturday afternoon he just started to CLEAN. Throughout the rest of the weekend he cleaned almost every room, he took care of the car seat in the car, made some order in the nursery, made food, watched two TERRIBLE movies with me (don't watch michael clayton - SO BORING - and "slipstream" is jsut terrible - TERRIBLE), did bills, etc. He was a machine. I sat there crying feeling so helpless and restless as I watched him and he came up to me, hugged me - told me he was sorry I felt so restless and then he got this cute little smile and said, "You'll make up for it." I laughed because it's true. I will 'make up for it' when I can since I'll be the sole homemaker once Jadon is born. Outside of that I am gong to go lay down. The contractions are becoming more of a frequent 'pest' and I really want to keep him in for his health reasons and shower reasons for one more week. I'm rather shocked that I got up a bit this morning and then fell back asleep until NOON. I just dont' do that. I really think the fact that I feel so much more organized at home has helped me to relax considerably in my mind which is helping me to finally sleep really good. I'll take a picture of my belly some time soon to show you, Sarah. Oh, and Jenny - I will be clothed! LOL Love you all. Neen
