Good Morning, y'all.

Hi, Pam. I tried to find a picture of the cam lock thingy but I can't. It's used for "some assembly required" furniture, usually shelves & stuff that have right angles coming together. Two separate parts you put into pre-drilled wood (or whatever, I guess) and the "peg" from one side fits into the other side and then you use a screwdriver to turn the receiving side 90 degrees and it locks in. Much better than screwing a bunch of screws into stuff (and more stable when dealing with particle board, I would imagine).

How's that for a REALLY non-technical answer? Just be glad I didn't use terms like "doohickey" and "whatjamacallit".

About the surgery....I dunno, Pam. He's in the big city NW of me (about an hour or so away), just had major surgery and everyone just left. The last time he went through this, I stayed with him. Who wants to wake up from that kind of thing in a strange place with no one but strangers?

Maybe I'm just a sap but I wouldn't treat a dog that way.
Lioness, I agree with you about the surgery. I'd appreciate it very much if someone was there with me when I woke up.

Oh, I and agree with you about the cam locks. Very good explanation, btw.

She just left him there? And she claims to love him? Jeez... With that kind of love, I wouldn't need enemies any more.

Thanks!

Good morning, Sharon-Marie and Dude and Tink ("Tinktionary" ).

I had to take the ManCub's swimming togs to school. I don't know if he knew he had swimming today and forgot to tell me or what but he didn't have them with him went he went this morning.

Then, I got a brilliant idea. I had a coupon for a free anything at Starbucks so I got another Venti double whatever (that's pretty much how I order when I'm there, too. they know me well enough to know what I mean ) so I plan to get a ton of stuff done.

Followed by a crash and burn sometime this afternoon.

Oh, I have no idea if she claims to love him. But she gets to live in his house and drive his red Mustang convertible and toss his name around.

Sounds to me like that's not all she's tossing around.

Right about now ((((((((((((((((((((((Lioness))))))))))))))))))))))) a superhug is needed.

Thanks. I just hope to heaven they get married. You have no idea how happy and relieved that would make me.

And now I'm done talking about the x. He's taken up far too much space in *MY* thread as it is.

Pardon me for not know this already, Lioness . . . but, what are swimming togs?

My two guesses are either trunks or clogs. Am I anywhere close?

James, is that your friend's coffee shop that you've mentioned before?

Coffee franchises . . . I have periodically, over the past couple of years, contemplated opening up a franchise of Jack's coffee shop.

But then, I've also contemplated other earnways as well. LOL - Apparently, I love to contemplate.

"Earnway"
Isn't that such a cool word?

I think that Paul and Sarah Edwards coined that term in one of their books from 15 or so years ago.

I get it. What kind of a life do you have when you can remember 30 year old commercials?

Let's just say I was single for nearly 14 years for a reason

Well, togs are clothes. So, trunks (and a towel) is right.

I can see it now while Connie calls her mother:

"Uhm, Mom . . . is there something, perhaps, you've forgotten to tell me?"

OH! Thanks for the clarification! I'd had to buy him some clogs when what he needed would be netherland clothing.
