How come you press harder on a remote when you know the battery is dead?
Or a better question. Why do people shake a remote when the battery is dead? Like it's got one more good click in there, but you gotta shake it out.

Sometimes the battery is just not making a good connection. I always shake it real good to make sure it is dead and not jus not connecting.

See, I knew I was right.

OK, I admit it. I usually shake it because I'm frustrated and even though I know I have spare batteries in the house, I can never remember where I put them because of course I put them in a special place just so I'd remember where I put them...

If you want to mosh at a Celtic band try this band.

I love Flogging Molly!
Usually on my myspace change it to something Irish with them on it this time of year, but I just haven't had time.

Or take the battery out and wipe off the ends.

I have never heard of them until I saw the article. But I have heard The Pogues.

The Saluki men made the N.I.T. Their point guard will not be able to play due to a stress fracture in his leg.

I normally just take the battery cover off and spin the batteries. The friction normally cleans things up enough to keep them going a little longer.

Master Kerrlaw, I confess that I buy batteries by the gross but, whenever *I* need any, they've all been used in one or the other of the ManCub's electronic devices. I further confess that I have been known to take the batteries out of the camera to put into the DVD player remote.

I just realized that I haven't made a confession yet.

I confess that I *whisper, whisper, whisper, whisper, whisper*. There. I feel SO much better now that that's out.

What's everybody doing for spring break? I'm working. Since we homeschool, we set our own spring break anyway. I think he's going to take it in a few weeks when there's a big bluegrass festival he's going to attend.

I confess that we have no spring break here. The kids get off Good Friday and that's it. They did have Maundy Thursday and Easter Monday off but now they have to make up 2 snow days so they have to go those days. So Good Friday is the one and only day they get off school in March.

So you confess that you whisper a lot?

I confess that I knew somebody was gonna say that.

Terri, I like your siggy. I'll have to tell the girls about it tonight at rehearsal. It's somewhat like when we say things like "I've been going over that song in my head.....and we sound really good in my head."

I confess that I appreciate all of y'all's prayers for my husband and his job interview. We got the call yesterday, and he got the job. Thank y'all so much for praying for him. He appreciates it so much and so do I.

We don't know the exact start day yet, but probably within the next two weeks. He's been giddy like a kid all night and we barely got any sleep. he's too excited.

again, thank y'all very much for praying.

YAY! I'm so happy for you. I'm glad everything worked out. Now will you have to relocate?

nope...we will stay right where we are for now. but he feels this is the stepping stone for the job he really wants, which is in Germany. i dunno how i feel about moving there. we'll have to cross one bridge at a time.

i told him this morning, i feel like we are on a tiny little island, surrounded by hundreds of other little islands, and we have to cross bridges to get to the next island...one day, hopefully we'll find a big land mass that we can roam around that is bridge free..but for right now, we are crossing one bridge at a time. this is an awesome job though, and it could very easily lead to the job in germany...but we are gonna be content where we are and he'll stay here until we feel that God is calling us there.

it's gonna be exciting, that's for sure.
