Now, Ezri, how are we supposed to take over the world and assimilate everyone if you are going to go non-conformist on us? <Lisa places her hand on her hip and rolls her eyes at Ezri>

We all got those nice books now, didn't we? We all look the same. If we were all different then we'd all be...well, different!

Thank you, Ezri. You're a gem.

And I'm a Jim.

Anbody going to the gym?

Say, does anyone do homeschooling for Senior Citizens so they can get their GED? I'm seeing more and more of a need for that in the Theo folder.

Seriously.

For Jimbo--->

World Domination:The Jimbo Factor

ETA: Why? Cuz I like 'im and is gonna vote for him in November... he promised to let me take over the state of NC. I like them kinda prezidential promises.

Uh... Lisa, dearest, if we each take a diff line of the quote given then we won't all look the same anyway...

DUH!

I dun told ya I been doing this MUCH longer than you have dear. trust me... any "Resistance is futile... you will be assimilated" quote will work fine.

You're missing the point.

Maybe we shoulda gone with that quote about trying to get homeschoolers to cooperate is like trying to herd cats.

Well, if you want to use another quote, be my guest! If you want to, you can even split the Lloyd quote with the other two who voted for it. I'll be generous and allow you the freedom of doing whatever you want (since it's not like I have any real power to make you do otherwise anyway.)

I think a couple quotes would be funny. Then people would have to figure out who goes together

Where on earth is Sunnymom?! She, of all people, ought to be involved in the take over. I'll have to e-mail her.

I have decided (since I'm a bit miniacal) that I'm going to take the end of the quote. I will be the last one up Tuesday morning, with the probably exception of Jennifer and I want to get my quote in.

Look, I know I've been sleeping in, but did you have to go and point it out like that?!

Since Cynthia started at the end, I took the quote before hers. How's that for cooperative uncooperativeness?

All I meant was that I usually (not always) get up before you. I did not mean to imply that you sleep late. I'm sorry if I embarassed you. That wasn't my intention.

Good morning! Happy World Dominion Day!

The object of the day is to take over the world. We should endeavor to assimilate as many people as possible.

There are three main things to do today.

First, if you haven't already, grab a part of our quote.
Here it is again, for easy reference. So far each section has been used once, as far as I can tell, except for the second part. Someone needs to take that one. After someone gets the second part, others can grab whatever section they like or work on a different quote.

"A tax supported, compulsory educational system is the complete model of the totalitarian state."
-- Isabel Patterson

Here's how we'll break it down:

1: "A tax supported, compulsory

2: educational system is the

3: complete model of the

4: totalitarian state."--Isabel Patterson

Second, you should post today and sneak in words such as "Homeschooling" and "World domination" into your posts, without taking the thread off-topic, off course. You can put those words in italics or another color if you'd like, or just keep them hidden within your other text. It's up to you.

Third, try and assimilate anyone who is interested. Send them over here and tell them to get their own book avatar. Let's see if we can take over the world today. Wouldn't it be lovely by the end of the day if everyone on forums had a book?

Remember, post back here anything that we'd all be interested in reading! If you get some fun responses, let us know about it! It's going to be a fun day, and we all want to know about all the fun everyone else is having.

Go take over the world!

I'm here! I'm here! Sheesh!

Actually, I have been doing my bit for God and country. This is Home Education Week in FL and NE, and a bunch of HSing bloggers are celebrating by posting something every day. You can check it out on my blog.

I'll come back after dd's piano lesson. Maybe I can compose a song about homeschooling that when played backwards has a subliminal message......

Okay guys -- I'm a little late in changing my signature, but just got online now ... been on the phone all morning making and receiving calls regarding my grandmother ... she died this morning. (It's really a blessing -- she had advanced Alzheimer's and didn't know herself, let alone anyone else)

You can keep it on. We're doubling up. Anyone who wants can grab a piece of it, even if other people already have it.

Oh Good. Now it looks like we need some one to grab the last part of the quote again. Then we will have it complete twice.

I'm a future homeschooler! Can I join?? I don't think I have a denim jumper, but someone just gave me a really cute denim maternity skirt

Of course I have some to give you. But they aren't maternity. They'd probably still fit since I'm still working on getting rid of baby fat from when 15 year-old was born.

OK- I picked up the last part of the phrase.

That is the point, isn't it? Everyone is a future homeschooler, they just don't know it yet!

Ah yes, good point. I'm just waiting to be assimilated then I guess.

Hmm, thanks for the offer Denim Diva, but I'm not really a fan of denim jumpers and I was assured by these lovely ladies that I don't really need one to be a homeschooler.

No suggestions as my av seems to be working fine and suitable for me.

Might change it though to a denim jumper though.

Now I know this is a conspiracy, because three times I tried to post that and got a message that this thread wasn't accepting new replies. I know y'all are out to get me!
