Trammell and Wolfe have nothing on this guy...click HERE for the most memorable version of "Oh Holy Night" you'll ever hear!

The way he takes the ending down an octave just when you expect him to go even higher is a masterful stroke! Or maybe he was having a stroke...

...oh that was memorable alright! I can't get that screeching out of my head. [:D]

You are right that it will stick in my memory. [:(]

I actually know who that guy is. He does production work for alot of SG groups, and the story goes that he and Kevin Williams were playing around after a Guy Penrod recording session, and that was the result

OK...DBM.
That's hard for a good singer to do.
Wow!
Merry Christmas.

Yeah, there aren't too many SG singers out there who can effectively imitate a rooster! [:D]

My money's on Tracy Stuffle or Mark Lowry.

But if body language counts, I'll take Tim Lovelace.[sm=cooltilt.gif]

Is it Michael Sykes?

Not quite. In the interview I heard, he said that, ironically, he'd just produced a Christmas album by a well-known quartet that had the same song on it! [:D]

Nope, guess again. (Maybe this should have it's own seperate thread...)

familyharmony1 -> RE: staged antics by sg groups (4/12/2008 12:18:03 AM)

Wesley Prichard is my guess...

BassSingerSwain -> RE: staged antics by sg groups (4/12/2008 10:41:38 AM)

Still not right.

dbmurray -> RE: staged antics by sg groups (4/12/2008 11:09:00 AM)

OK, I put it in a separate thread, which I hope is OK. It isn't really a "staged antic."
The new thread is HERE.

Went to a McKameys concert last night. Did not see Peg remove her shoes, but she did say that she took them off very quietly for 1 song. Great concert by a great group of God loving people.

Billboy -> RE: staged antics by sg groups (4/13/2008 10:47:15 PM)

Today during the Kingsmen concert, Ray Dean was promoting a cruise. He was reading a list of participants and he said "Brian Free & Insurance". Of course, Brian corrected him. I assume it was staged, but it was funny either way. Also, he was having trouble reading a list of songs on one of the cd's in a special he was promoting. He changed from his regular glasses to his reading glasses and finally had Brian read the list and he repeated it. Brian threw in "Mustang Sally" as one of the songs, which Ray dutifully repeated, and then caught it and reacted accordingly. Again probably staged, but still funny.
