Sweet corn is waist high, peas blooming (even have some fruit on it), green beans blooming, potatoes blooming and the tomatoes are bearing fruit. Thankfully mom was at our place and pointed out the asparagus; had she not done that I would have figured them for a weed!

What kind of lettuce is it?

Strawberries need to be replaced every 2-3 years (but can be done by using runners from your normal plants ~ you should only root runners from your most prolific and disease free plants though.

My new raised beds arrived yesterday ~ I have a busy day ahead of me getting them all together!

The lettuce is leaf lettuce. I tried growing strawberries from runners last year, but few of the baby plants survived. They aren't producing yet.

I've never been in a position to grow strawberries for more than a year so I've never taken runners but many strawberry plants don't produce much the first year and that may be why.

I've got a courgette and I'm really pleased. Never grown one before.

Went strawberry picking at a local Pick Your Own place this weekend. We also bought red, white, and blue potatoes while we were there!

I need to mulch the tomatoes, but I weeded and reseeded some of the beans (empty spots), the missing melon and cucumber (who knows maybe it will come up this time), and a few more lettuce, spinach, and carrots for the Fall.

Lots of tomato blossoms right now.

Is that the colour of their skin or flesh?

The white were actually light brown skinned.

The red were red skinned.

The blue were blue in and out.
