When Jenny said "I'm not a monkey!" was I the only one who thought of Fang from Dave the Barbarian?

hmmm...apparantly so there was a re-run of dr who last night - the one with the angel statues and in my opinion one of the best dr who's ever. Totally freaked me out.

Me too! Those angel statues were terrific. Hubby and I watched it with the lights out, but we both kinda glad we weren't alone.

Yep, "Blink" was brilliant, and it was by Steven Moffatt, who also wrote the second two-parter of this series, "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead". Which you will be getting in just over a week's time!

Well, I finally saw the ending of 'The Library'! It was brilliant. And I watched last nights episode too. You are in for a treat if you don't like Donna. I really enjoyed it although it was very static. It was interesting to see the Dr in such a vulnerable position. I caught an interview with David Tennant who said he was going to be doing the 'specials' next year, but hadn't been asked if he wanted to continue as Dr Who ~ but would if he was asked! Methinks they're doing a lot of teasing with Rose. Next weeks episode looks pretty good.

I really enjoyed Midnight. It was a nice change of pace from the over-the-top episodes of this series. Even though I've liked most of the episodes, I've been a little let down by this series. I guess I was expecting more. The Rose story could have been introduced a little earlier, and they've taken every precaution to make it painfully obvious Donna won't be around much longer. About Midnight, the characters became terribly annoying...I don't think they had much of a choice but to make them annoying. I was pleased to see the characters realize the monsters they had become, most stories only kill them off. That always serves to be a cop-out to me, and I think it's much more provoking television to have them survive and realize how evil they became. I disagree about the ending, I thought tacking on anything more would have been useless. It was refreshing to leave things open, and see the Doctor so upset he was nearly speechless. Nearly. I also liked how for once it was the Doctor running his mouth too much that got him into trouble.

ORIGINAL: manda59 How did you all enjoy the Agatha Christie episode? Donna actually had me laughing in that one with her sidebar comments as well as the doctor and his funny quirks. Although I'm not much of a reader of Agatha Christie, I do know who she is and how popular and well written her books are.

Well now, as you haven't yet seen that episode, you can't really say. There are few programmes that don't have cliff-hangers and you can't critcise Dr Who for that. As for Donna (or even Tennant for that matter) not coming back ~ we don't really know that do we? We're being led to believe it about Donna, but hey, Rose left and has been popping up all over place this series.

Spoilers. The trailer for this week's episode did confirm a few of the spoilers. Ah well. She could come back. It seems unlikely, and probably unnecessary. Just like Rose coming back. Donna's departure wouldn't be too much of a loss. It's nice to have the friendly companion again, but they bring that up in every episode...with the "Oh, we're not a couple" jokes and those similar. Her personality could have been better, and they could have left out her sketch characters in the persona of Donna they created. It's been a superfluous and underwhelming series for me. Martha's appearance was pointless in the two episodes, though it will be interesting to see if or when she meets Rose. Still not necessary. The "Doctor's daughter" was more of a gag than anything. I'm sure they'll bring her back...which is again, not necessary. I think the last three episodes were the best so far, and the next few are going to be brilliant...or still not necessary. I was expecting more...well, I got more. But that "more" wasn't what I was asking for. Should have expected it.

well, how should I know...I just saw watched the Unicorn and the Wasp episode. "Donna's departure wouldn't be too much of a loss." so I was just wondering...cause I think Rose has definitely run her course, Martha was a good rebound and Donna is just further away from all that romance stuff. I really like David Tennant, he's perfectly quirky and witty. Hmmm... I guess I could always go online and figure it out huh?

Yummy is a good word. Patrick Stewart has been in so many roles. From sci-fi to rather serious drama. I just love listening to him. I know I'd be so excited and definitely planning something special for the big event. Maybe a pre or post get together with friends and family for fun.

So guys, let us know what you think of "Silence in the Library" (part 1) tonight! It's by the same guy who wrote "Blink".

I really enjoyed Turn Left. Even though I think this series was underwhelming, it has remained consistent in the second half. Next week looks fantastic.

I really liked it, but I thought they were laying it on to thick with the female archaeologist character. I actually didn't find that aspect of the story compelling at all, but the suspense with the darkness and the little girl's connection to it all is very interesting. I'm assuming Donna will not die, but I'm very interested to see how it all turns out.

Ah no, I love Doctor Who. It's just series 4 in particular that's been underwhelming for me. And I was mostly disappointed in the first five or six episodes, as I stated...the second half of the series has been consistent. The Agatha Christie episode is when it started to pick up for me. My memory is so bad, I wouldn't know what I keep saying.
