It is hard to let them make mistakes, but wouldn't you rather he make a decision, and possibly a mistake, with a $100 spinning wheel while he's home with you than out on his own with a $10,000 car? Brandon actually has been spinning for awhile now and should have some idea of what he wants. I'm sure the people in his guild can help him know what to look for. Zoe, that's interesting about your brother. That's not my specialty, but I know that when we (rarely) dialyze a baby we have to watch their serum calciums closely. We just assume it's evenly distributed amongst the tissues. Ashley's time at the doggie daycare went well. She likes the place, the dogs, and the people, but this is not something she can reasonably continue long term. She told the owner she would work for a month - 3 days a week - while they try to find someone else. The owner completely understands and is happy to have her for whatever time she is available. There is a similar place in Erie that always seems to be hiring, so when she's done with her commitment she will probably apply to work there.

Apparently the condition is very rare. At first they told my SIL nothing unusual that would have been a COD. She asked them to keep looking so they went through medical textbooks and stuff looking for possible complications. WHen they came across this they went back and checked his heart and discovered it. I guess there are only a handfull of people in the world that have had this problem. DD2 is taking her standardized tests at the school tomorrow-Thursday. She is very nervous about the tests themselves and possible consequences of not doing well. Mom and I had a talk with her this afternoon to let her know that there won't be any bad consequences if she doesn't do well. She has 2-3 tests a day and will stay until my mom gets done work at 12:15 and then spend the afternoon at her house till I go in for extended care. On Tuesday night she will sleep at Grandma's because it is much closer to the school than my house. Thursday she only has one 40 min test in the AM. I know she doesn't test well and generally knows more than she can convey on the tests. Plese pray that she stays calm and can remember what she's learned.

You're a bit ahead of us, Sarah. Our fifth was born a couple of months after our 12th anniversary.

I saw this Uber Cool spinning wheel at the fiber fest- it was called a Charkha. it actually folded into a box that was about the size of a small briefcase and everything was inside and VERY well protected making it WAY portable. But I think the spinning convo was WAY up top huh... ~ezri

Well, Nate just went and bought a Nerf gun for his friend Josie and a tactical light for his friend Nathan, both of who he'll be visiting tomorrow. The other Nathan's birthday just passed and my Nate couldn't think of getting him something without also getting Josie something. They are sweet kids. So of course my Nate is packing his own Nerf weapons, which I think is very wise. We actually have two chances for marriages between these families, lol. Brandon and Jordyn seem pretty sweet on each other for two kids whose parents won't allow dating, and Josie practically worships Nate.

Hadn't really thought about it, but we had all four kids before our 8th anniversary. We start testing tomorrow. We should be done by Thrusday. Man, oh man, it's been a LONG year!

We had a very rocky start and I was afraid of having children. All of our were born between our nineth and fifteenth anniversaries. We only have three. They are each almost three years apart. Our family is complete and we are glad we have our three. They are all great kids, including our Mr. Manly, who is maturing little by little and he really does have a heart for the Lord. He loves to hear God's word.

We started our family right away too. Our first child was born exactly two months after our first anniversary. Of course we were 26 when we married and for some reason thought that we had better start our family since we were "older". Now we're 39 and 26 seems pretty young.

Our first was born less than 3 months after our first anniversary. Our last was born just after our 6th anniversary.

Thank you, Brandy. Those bottom two are especially neat. Well, we had both of ours within three years of getting married, but we cheated with that first one.

Our first anniversary was June 13th and our first was born August 23rd.....so not exactly on the day two months later, but two months and ten days later. We started a family immediately because hubby always said he wanted a child before he was 30 and he was already 28 when we got married. Our son was born 6 months before hubby's 30th birthday.

We were married 9 years and 5 months before Jake came. We wanted children right away, but God had other plans. The recruiter is supposed to be picking Jake up at noon today. They will drive to Chicago and Jake will fly to Fort Sill on Tuesday.

Thanks for the prayers. Yes, it's Army. He's going to train to be a medic. Jake has been going to a campus ministry church. They had prayer for him in the service today.

We had six kids in eight years. Our first was born three months before our first anniversary, and our sixth three moths after our eighth anniversary. You know what's funny? I'm pretty sure I'm annovulatory. (I think that's the right word.) Where you ovulate only from one side? So I guess I have a fertilility disorder, too.

Annovulatory is when you don't ovulate at all. You wouldn't be classified as having a fertility disorder if you only ovulate from one side. My last four pregnancies have happened with less than 2/3 of one ovary (YAY, God and Dr. B...they're a team, you know ). This baby (#5) will be born three months before our 10th anniversary. Now granted, one of those didn't come from my body, but we also had two miscarriages in there and almost three years of infertility. Just looking at the ages of our kids though, you'd think I'm super fertile. (((((((((((((((((Sue)))))))))))))))) Praying for you as your boy goes out. Zoebob, I hope dd2 does well and with little to no stress.
