ORIGINAL: Beck34 It is amazing how much response this topic has recieved. Yet, to my amazement, an odd thing happened to me last night. Those of you who work fast food will find this hilarious! This old lady came through the first window and paid for her food. Instead of stopping at the next window, she pulled forward and parked! I went to give her the food she ordered, and I asked her why she pulled up instead of stopping at the window. She said, "Well, I have been so used to pulling up to save your drive-through time that I thought I would save your time more by going ahead and pulling up!" I asked her if she was a christian, and she said she had been serving Christ for 40 years. She said she would pray for me, and as, she drove away, I thanked God once again for the customers who are kind. I too am in the same boat, y'all are in. I work PT at McD's and I too find it very rude when customers are on their cell phones. But isn't it great when you get a few nice and sweet customers like the one above.!!! quote:
I think that the lack of respect is due to the deteriorating belief in Christ amoung people. I agree. quote:
I am trying to change my attitude about serving customers at work, My problem isn't the customers, it is MOSTLY the other crew people and the "so called" night managers. They(the night managers aren't much older than the teens and I am WAY older than they are. It is a big joke. (I work nights because I Homeschool during the day-that is why I work with so many teens[:'(][:@]) quote:
I have also been waited on in smaller stores(bookstores, card shops, etc) by employees who won't put the phone down long enough to show respect to the people patronizing their store. If it isn't it should be the policy of ALL places that employees should NOT use their cell phone while at work. I as a mom carry mine with me (DD and younger DS are home for a couple hours before DH gets home) so in case of an Emergency the can call me, but they(kids) have work # too. So I don't ever use my phone(at least at work), but these teens are ALWAYS on their phones [:@].
