quote:
ORIGINAL: notmycity I've always worn mine (seventeen years this month in fact) , even while using power tools. A properly fitted ring, along with being safety conscious will keep the ring on the finger and the finger on the hand (which is a good idea anyway if you want to keep all your digits) . I’ve heard plenty of excuses why guys don’t wear them, and can’t think of one time I believed it. Just my opinion of course. Unless you work with heavy equipment or heavy duty power tools... you have NO idea of the dangers! I'm not talking about wearing it while you mow your lawn. However, I often do not wear it while doing labor work because I don't want it to get scraped or roughed up. We've been married for a long time too, and if one really wanted to cheat, a ring will not stop that. It's internal love and honor that will. A ring is just a symbol... nothing else. I don't get bent out of shape over some stupid symbol. If I did, I'd be in mess right now...my own wife hasn't worn any rings for over 6 months. She has blood tumors in her left hand, and has surgery just this week to remove them. There are plenty of legit reasons, and there plenty of reasons with arterial motives.
