artemis -> addressing envelopes question... (4/14/2008 8:28:39 AM)

This is kind of an etiquette question and I didn't know where else to put it, but I'm addressing envelopes for my husband's gratuation ([sm=icon_smile_super.gif]) and I'm not sure how best to do it. For people who are single, I'll address it to "Mr (or Ms.) First-name Last-name." For couples that are married, I will address it to "Mr. and Mrs. Husband's-first-name Couple's-last-name" What do I do with people who are widowed? Do I address the envelope to "Mrs. Deceased-husband's-first-name Last-name" or to "Ms. Woman's-first-name Last-name" (Does this even make sense???) Both my grandmother and my husband's grandmother are widowed and I'm not sure which would be more appropriate. Advice?
