artemis -> addressing envelopes question... (4/14/2008 8:28:39 AM)

This is kind of an etiquette question and I didn't know where else to put it, but I'm addressing envelopes for my husband's gratuation ([sm=icon_smile_super.gif]) and I'm not sure how best to do it. For people who are single, I'll address it to "Mr (or Ms.) First-name Last-name." For couples that are married, I will address it to "Mr. and Mrs. Husband's-first-name Couple's-last-name"

What do I do with people who are widowed? Do I address the envelope to "Mrs. Deceased-husband's-first-name Last-name" or to "Ms. Woman's-first-name Last-name" (Does this even make sense???) Both my grandmother and my husband's grandmother are widowed and I'm not sure which would be more appropriate. Advice?

I don't know what the proper way is but I would address it Mrs. her first and last name.

This won't help but the title caught my eye...mail service is unreliable in Mexico where I live and so only bills are individually delivered by a hired carrier. No personal mail at all, never!

Congratulations! Best wishes!!!

This lady was telling me about her friend who is in china as missionary, he said they will they keep your mail and if you bribe them, and give them things for it they will give you, your mail.
