I just received an old time 'hand pump' and barrel for my flower garden! It's an early birthday gift, and I love it! I have an old wagon wheel and a small (wooden) antique wagon also. I still wanna get a plow and maybe an old wash-board and tub; some day. (I like the 'old timey' stuff!)
Do any of you care to share some ideas of your yard decor or ornaments? Maybe how you display them and what type of items you have? I love bird houses and bird feeders & baths too.

I just use them in the midst of my flower gardens to add interest. The wooden wagon wheels I keep on my porches so that they don't weather too much as I don't want them to deteriorate. I have an old reel type lawnmower that sits at the edge of our gardening shed too. I also use
old garden tools on my porch in the summer and a collection of old metal rakes in the fall as well as old boxes with leather handles that hold smaller garden tools.
The plows and cultivators I use in the midst of the beds for vertical height and interest. I actually had an old hand pump that I stuck in the ground and it would frequently pump water!!!
I have more of a natural, country look so try to use them in ways that 'look authentic'---as if they were meant to be there. Have fun!

I think flamingos are very pretty birds, but they don't really go with my area--I live in the mountains of north Georgia. I have flower beds, but I don't have any other yard ornaments. Maybe someday when I retire I will have time to do more decorating and stuff like that.

I don't think I've ever seen a flamingo, real or plastic, except in pictures. I've never seen any for sale around here.
I think fountains and waterfalls are pretty. I would like to have one of those someday.
I planted two climbing roses (New Dawn, pink) about four years ago with plans to build an arched trellis between them and put a swing under the trellis. The roses are growing well, but the trellis and swing are yet to be accomplished. I guess I need to find a handyman who can work cheap, or make myself figure out how to do it and just build it however I can.

We don't have much of a yard, but I have a bird house my dd made on a window ledge. Other than that, nothing. I honestly think it looks really tacky, especially in our city.

I'm in yard mode - so y'all have to forgive all the posts...
I'm picking up some hibiscus (sp) and a few other colorful plants to arrange in my front yard - it has a lot of green but not much else so it needs something to liven it up.
We get a good amount of shade so I have to get different plants for certain areas. I also use some larger sized rocks in the beds for drainage and that red mulch that looks so pretty against the brick of our house.
A lot of people around here use pine straw, but we don't

My wife collects cow-themed items. We have a collection of cow windchimes. Also I have a couple gnomes here and there.
One of our neighbors has a very large anchor in his front yard. I'd be tempted to steal it, but I think the bulldozer tracks and the anchor in the front yard would give me away.

The red mulch is well, it's mulch that's red - not sure how it gets to be red, but it is.
I forgot about the lava rock, that might a good addition...great suggestion!

Well, what I've got is actually a big dried out piece of a tree root. Some people around here use what is called 'drift wood'. It's huge pieces of tree roots that have been washed up on the side of a river or lake. They're dried out and used for decor. It's really counted as a 'good find' if you can get one that is unusually twisted or bent, and looks like sculptured art. I like it cause it's light weight (usually) and don't attract bugs. It's really pretty among brightly colored blooms!

We don't have anything in the yard per se, but we do have a statue of a very wise-looking Chinese man on our porch. That's what I call him: "My Chinese Guy." He was a gift from a neighbor about ten years ago and he's been on my various porches ever since.

My lawn ornaments also double as riding lawnmowers and automatic fertilizers...the only drawbacks are they are selective mowers...and sometimes mow things that I'd rather they didn't. Not to mention, that the big white one likes to pull plants out of ceramic pots then stomp on the pots because he likes the sound of breaking pottery....
I used to have many decorative birdfeeders up...but one of the cats thought they were CATfeeders, so had to take them all down to protect the birds.

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY DEPLOYED HUSBAND WHILE HE SERVES IN IRAQ 
It's about 2 1/2 ft. tall and has two handles and a lid on it. It's so cute. I set it on my porch (for now). Anybody have any suggestions on how to display it? I thought that, I could put a pot of flowers on top of it and use it for a flower stand. But then I'm not sure if you could even tell what it is if I do that.
