We recently saw the Dixie Echoes with their new lineup, and THEY ARE OUTSTANDING. Everything from the vocal abilities to the stage presentation was exceptional. In my opinion, they excelled beyond most of the groups on the program that night...many of whom regularly have charting songs.

I have also spent a little time in Echo Sound Studio, and Randy Shelnut and Randy Shelnut, Jr. are perfect gentlemen.

GO DIXIE ECHOES!

Agreed. They are one of the best quartets on the road today. They have really made the two mics and piano bit their thing. It is strange because now when I see other groups attempt that, I think to myself, they are copying the Dixie Echoes. The Dixie Echoes have really made it their trademark, as for the current generation of Southern Gospel music artists.

I think Pat singing bass has really helped the group. I wasn't sure that he would fit in with them but he's doing great.

I'll always love the Dixie Echoes, but I'm just partial to Dallas Rogers...I'll never get over the time he sang "If We Never Meet Again" at a singing at my church. I guess we know who my favorite tenor is huh?

I saw them a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't agree with you more, Bobby. Pat seems relaxed and having fun, and seems to be a really good fit for these guys, personally as well as musically.

He was also amazing on "I Won't Have to Worry Anymore."

Nothing against Dallas, however the new Tenor from Palmetto fits the group perfectly in "quartet styling" as well as singing. We saw them recently in Santa Rosa Beach Fl.
Speaking of Palmetto state qt. what do they sound like with their recent overhaul? I hear that they are doing at least half a program of P & W. Nothing against Praise and Worship, however I don't think pure Southern fans will support it. jg

I know Wesley personally. I was good friends with His father who happen to be a tenor in a local group in Alabama. Wesley learn a lot from his dad both about singing how to live your life For the glory of God. His dad was singing I Won't Have to Worry" before he as born or close to it. Wesley can hit the super high notes if he wants to but with the stlye the Dixie Echoes are singing there no need for those ultra high notes.

I saw the Dixie Echoes Saturday for the first time since
Wesley joined them. They were the best I had heard them
in a long time, maybe ever.
Wesley fits perfectly and is a joy to watch.

I have not seen Wesley with Dixie Echoes yet , but I've known Wesley for a while and I think he is a perfect fit with them as well as another Alabama boy Pat Barker.

I hope to see The Dixie Echoes Thursday night. I haven't seen them since last October, but I've heard great things about the new bass. I agree that they are one of the great quartets singing today.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words. It is an honor to be apart of such a legendary Quartet, and have SO MUCH FUN in the process. We have recieved lots of videos that fans have made in the last few weeks, and I will be posting them on You Tube pretty soon. PLEASE keep us in your prayers, and come see us some time.

I would see you soon if you ever came up to Ohio! But as it stands, I think the group comes up once every 2-3 years!
