Forgot to tell y'all Mrs. C. called me at work tonight. She was baby sitting for great grand daughter and she let me talk to her. Now for 2 years and 8 months old she did good. Talking to her grand ho ho, I think is what she said. Will have to ck with Mrs. C. tomorrow about that.

I just had to take a minute and congratulate y'all on another thread finished and begun. I love the title of this one, Terri. It pretty much sums it up, doesn't it. I pray you all have a blessed Lord's Day.

Good Morning Daniel....Hope you have a great day....Time for us to head out the door for Church...We go to Early Baptist Church...Not the real name but it's early services....First Baptist, Woodstock, with Dr. Johnny Hunt.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 8:17:28 AM)

Good morning all. I got a good nights rest and the old hair dryer worked pretty good. Took a little longer. Turned it off and then tried to turn it on again and, nope, would not come on. I guess it needs to cool.

I would appreciate prayers for Mrs. C. and her son as they travel from Ga. today. Will be good to have Mrs. C. back home.
She got to baby sit with great grand daughter last night. She was in her glory doing that.

Wow! Y'all sure do head out early for church. I still haven't really begun getting ready. Church doesn't start till 10:30 though. Hope you all have a wonderful church service and receive a blessing!

We atttended the 9:30 service when we were in town for the Triumphant concert. Loved the pastor.

robertyork -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 10:31:53 AM)

Just saw on Sogospel news that Gospel Sounds, a full time group that tours up the east coast is coming off the road due to increased gas prices and low attendance at concerts. I'm afraid that we're gonna see more and more of this as time goes on if people don't get out and support the groups/concerts in the area. Satan is getting his way, causing people to stay at home and not support Gospel Singings.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 10:34:05 AM)

I love gospel concerts and wish I could support more of them but finances often prevent me from doing so. I do pray for some of the groups though, that God will continue to meet their needs and to use them for His glory.

Sunday School starts at 8:10 AM. That's when most seniors are up and at 'em. Had about 40 in SS class this morning. We have got off the Southern Baptist literature and are study Gensis book by book. We usually get through one book a week. Very interesting a lot of things I didn't realize, helps you understand the rest of the Bible better.

Anything specific you could share?

Glad to see you back. Been missing your post.

How God populated the World after the flood. Sending Noah's decendents to all parts of the world. Interesting where each one went to populate that part of the world. Some of the things I knew but being an old geezer hadn't thought about or had forgotten about until my memory was refreshed. When we were studying about Noah, teacher had Noah's family tree.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 11:03:48 AM)

Thank you for the welcome back. I'm surprised anyone noticed my absence but it's always nice to be missed. [:)]

The study on Noah sound interesting. I'm amazed that, no matter how many times I read through the Bible, there are always new things that jump out at me. That's part of what keeps Christianity exciting, though. There are always things God is teaching.

I'm going through an in-depth study on Psalm 119 right now which has been really neat. I've read the book lots of times but to go through portion by portion and really take time to think about what David is saying in each verse is really neat.

A few years ago, we were at a church and the congregation sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Afterward, a man commented that the writer must have had a special relationship with God to be able to write those words. That is probably true but it hit me that, really, spending an hour with God should be a privilege, not a chore. Maybe that's part of why David was called a "man after God's own heart," because he loved that uninterrupted time with the Lord.

Having not posted in a while, I guess my heart's full of a lot that I haven't written down yet but hopefully the lengthiness of my posts doesn't get y'all hoping for another sabatical from me. [:D]

Good Morning Sharon Marie....Glad to see you online today...Hope you have a Blessed Day....How was )is) the car show this weekend? Heavy traffic, I would bet. Maybe it will clear out today.

SGEnthusiast -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 11:33:09 AM)

Good morning, Sharon Marie. It's wonderful to see you again too. It's a beautiful Sunday here. How about there?

WhiteRoseBlessings -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 11:43:46 AM)

Hey Bobby and Sony,

It's a bit of an overcast day her, but still pretty.

The car show . . .[sm=rolleyes.gif]
It's been a bit of a loud weekend; even way back in my quiet little sanctuary.
Part of the noise has actually been from the Parkway. I could walk outside my front door and hear it.
Part of the noise was because my neighborhood was inundated with people with very loud vehicles (I imagine they were attending the car show).

Something else, related to the car show and kinda amusing . . . Friday afternoon, I started noticing people pulling their rods on trailers through my neighborhood. Since the subdivision I live on only has one entrance / exit, I couldn't imagine what was going on.

They were cruising the neighborhood looking for empty driveways in which to park their cars! [&:]

I watched it for a bit, and realized that someone had their eye on my driveway (which is empty, seeing as how I don't drive nor own a vehicle).
Just as he was about to offload his car from the trailer and back it into my driveway, I nonchalantly went out and moved my garbage can to the middle of the driveway.

I admit to giggling at the look on his face when he saw me come around the corner.

I just smiled and waved to him and then went about my business. [sm=redhairsmile.gif]
