Got another old geezer. Kate said she was getting old. Check the closed thread for her admission. She has now officially closed that thread.

Good afternoon all. Had a great church service. Choir did the program with all music with some commentary. I think instead of them doing something at Easter that today was their day to shine and shine they did. Wonderful.

Terri, our Sunday School starts at 9:30. 2nd morning service at 10:45.

Going to watch baseball game and probably have a Sunday nap. I feel it coming on right now.
God Bless.

Sam, I hope you got that couple married yesterday.

AngelInWaiting1983 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:14:06 PM)

Sam! We were baptists in Methodist clothing this morning! Our pastor and the choir director were both out, but the stuff was planned before that. It was strange. Kinda felt like it used to when our old pastor was there!

It doesn't take much to excite you, does it James? It is good to be back though. One of my sisters has a birthday today so we're just about ready to eat lunch. Can't stay but wanted to say Hi while you're on.

armydude -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:26:10 PM)

Happy birthday to herrrrrr!!!!

robertyork -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:26:19 PM)

Everybody must have been up late last night or got up early this morning. Those Sunday Afternoon Baptist naps are coming on for everyone. Hope y'all had fried chicken for lunch, that makes the nap even better.

Smokymtnsanta -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:27:33 PM)

Sony, tell your sister happy birthday from Santa.

AngelInWaiting1983 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:28:08 PM)

Nope Taco Bell. There were a lot of baptists there though!

Bobby, I had some left over Meat Loaf from the Old Mill Restaurant. Made a sandwich out of it and it was good.

armydude -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:29:57 PM)

Thank you for the welcome back. I'm surprised anyone noticed my absence but it's always nice to be missed. [:)]
The study on Noah sound interesting. I'm amazed that, no matter how many times I read through the Bible, there are always new things that jump out at me. That's part of what keeps Christianity exciting, though. There are always things God is teaching.

I'm going through an in-depth study on Psalm 119 right now which has been really neat. I've read the book lots of times but to go through portion by portion and really take time to think about what David is saying in each verse is really neat.

A few years ago, we were at a church and the congregation sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer." Afterward, a man commented that the writer must have had a special relationship with God to be able to write those words. That is probably true but it hit me that, really, spending an hour with God should be a privilege, not a chore. Maybe that's part of why David was called a "man after God's own heart," because he loved that uninterrupted time with the Lord.

Having not posted in a while, I guess my heart's full of a lot that I haven't written down yet but hopefully the lengthiness of my posts doesn't get y'all hoping for another sabatical from me. [:D]

Yes...we notice when one of our regulars are missing in action. Everyone was asking about you the other day...including myself.

No...we enjoy your posts regardless of length and we do not wish you would go back on sabatical.

Hey all!

Just got GB in the bed for her Baptist nap and I'm kind of wanting one for myself.

Church was awesome today!!! We sang in the choir for the first time and had a ball.[sm=icon_smile_sing.gif]

armydude -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:36:59 PM)

Thanks guys!

I'm also glad we got to come home after the service instead of the ER.[;)] When I picked her up today she ran to me and hugged me and told me that she didn't stand in her chair today.[:D]

AngelInWaiting1983 -> RE: Geezer's and Gonnabee's Palavering Through the Grace of Our Lord (4/20/2008 2:45:20 PM)

Christi, that is sooo cute!

I'm heading out to find something to wear tonight and take a baptist nap. Talk to y'all later!
