fans are awesome things to have and they do help me sleep, but I can go without it -shrug- I normally sleep in the silence. Every so often with music playing softly in the background. Depends on my mood. Sometimes I just crash.

i absolutely cannot go to sleep without music on. i just can't. my dad doesn't know how i can sleep with rock music pounding through my room. but its peaceful to me.

I'm the same way! Usually its either the radio playing, or some audiobook that I've already read(ex: Harry Potter, Twilight, etc.), since I tend to skip parts when I'm reading. I end up catching stuff in the audiobook that I never read. xD

I like it dark and qhiet when I fall asleep. I cannot really sleep with my music playing, or it takes me forever to. Cuz when I listen to my music it makes me wanna sing and shout and stuff so thats not good for going to bed. Fans do help me sleep but because I don't want to run the bills up and get cold in the winter I can sleep without them. But if I get in bed and the fan is going, and I turn it off, then it takes forever to fall asleep because my ears have already gotten use to the noise being there and its to quiet. One thing that really helps me go to sleep is the second hand on a clock. With the tick...tick...tick...tick. But I don't have a clock that does that anymore so sometimes when I can't get to sleep I will just tap my finger on something to make that noise until I get to sleep. but it usually takes me forever to get to sleep no matter what I do.

I don't sleep much......my mind has difficulty shutting up. Music sometimes helps.
I can't sleep to rain at all! I love the sound so much it distracts me.

Half the time, i end up falling asleep praying. I'm like, man, what'd i get done? one person? Next time, i'll have to pray, THEN write, read my bible, and listen to music. Sometimes i falll asleep to music. I go alphebetically through the songs.
