Love is patient. Love is kind.
Love never fails.
Love is more than a temporal emotion. It's more than thinking someone's attractive, or talking all night because you have a lot in common. It's much deeper and more profound than that.
Love isn't an overnight happenstance. It's like a garden that constantly needs attending, day after day, for anything to eventually grow into something beautiful.
Love isn't self-seeking. It isn't a device that is used to further your pride. It's when you reach to a point where your happiness is based solely on their happiness.
This kind of love can only be offered through Christ, whose love never fails. Once you have that assurance, something changes inside of you, and you realize it. Their happiness becomes you. When they cry, your shoulder becomes their pillow and bed. When they dance, you can't help but develop a rhythm to move along with that. Their heartbeat synchronizes with your own.

that is my favorite chapter. It's a good chapter. It not only lays out the definition of love, but I believe it is a good guide to go by on how to live. Patience, kindness, honesty, etc etc....

I've only been in love one time and I'm still in love with him. Of course he's the guy that I was talking about on the last post I did. But my situation really is complicated lol. Just read my other post.
I'm not sure how to describe what kind of love it is. It's an emotional and sacrificial kind of love. I'd do anything for him to see him happy. Only it's extremely hard to see him at all because now I'm being homeschooled like 12 miles away from him. I know it's not that far but walking, oh yea it is. And it doesn't help that my parents don't want me to see him or talk to him. I just can't wait until I'm 18 and can make my own decisions. Anyway, with Roger it's one of those cliche first love type things lol. Our love is really deep and even if it doesn't work out and we find other people we'll still love each other in a way because we were each other's first love. You never forget your first love and they always have a special place in your heart. I'll always love him no matter what happens. Of course I want to be with him but now he's going away to college at the end of the summer. I know it'll be a little harder on us but a relationship takes effort right? The 27th of next month will be the 1 year anniversary of our first kiss. It was in the storage room of McDonalds while we were working. I know, romantic right? lol!
