quote:
ORIGINAL: RichLP Please pray for me. I have nothing to complain about; in fact, I have a lot to thank the Lord for. I often force myself to remember even the most basic things in life when I pray so that I will not take anything for granted. I thank God for my health, my body, my job, my money, my friends, my home, my clothes, my food, my relatively unstressful lifestyle/work. Of course, special mention to my family and greatest mention of all, Jesus. I want to be wise, to know what to say, how to behave, with friends, coworkers, with women as I date, with my family. I want always to have a humble and grateful spirit in the presence of God. Please join me in this prayer... I want to be grateful to God. AND - I was taught in church today and was reminded in a sermon I heard later in the afternoon in the privacy of my home.... God is not Someone I use to get what I want. I don't want to look to the Lord as simply a source of "things" even though I do pray to Him for help to find a new job, to find a good girl. Please pray with me that I will have a very correct attitude ABOUT God when I talk with God and as I live before him. Father, Thank You for RichLP's relationship with You. I join in asking You for wisdom to know what to say, how to behave with friends, coworkers, his family and with women as he dates as well as with everyone else. Thank You for his desire to have a right attitude in his relationship with You. Please bless him with such a fine attitude that he will be a man after Your on heart. Thank You. It is in the name of Jesus Christ that I join these others who are praying for him. Amen.
