This is an incredible thread! Kudos to those who started it and have continued with it. My first recollection of Roger was at a Cathedrals concert in Southern GA. His hometown of Strawberry, AR is not far from a town in AR where I lived briefly as a teen.

My favorite song that he WROTE has to be, 'When the World Looks At Me'. But among the favorites that he performed was actually a song he played for Kirk Talley to sing. They did an arrangement of Sweet Hour of Prayer that was simply awe-inspiring. Roger played a long introduction, and then Kirk sang it, but WOW, was it great.

So very very many to choose from WOW, but I have to say my favorite is probably "WHEN THE WORLD LOOKS AT ME" The message of that song is as strong as a bear's breath at close range.

So many great ones. What a legacy he left behind and what a blessing when I hear almost ANY of the songs he wrote.

I agree, Darien.[:)]

I heard a great message tonight; pastor said in part of it to leave the hard questions to God. Why did Roger die so young? God knows and He has a plan and oneday, it will all make sense. That will be a good day![sm=thumbsup.gif]

In His Grip is My Favorite one he wrote. And Joy is my Favorite one he sang.

Roger wrote SO many outstanding songs it's hard to even narrow the list down. I first heard "Whispers In The Night" when I got the NQC 2004 Highlight video at a Legacy 5 concert a couple years ago. That song, together with the testimony Roger gave ahead of it, made me wish I would have been there to hear it in person. I don't think I've ever heard anything so moving. A few others are "I've Read The Back Of The Book", "Healing", "Jesus Saves", and "Out Of My Darkness".
