wow raschi, your family has truly suffered much loss the past year. I am so sorry to hear about your grandparents and her mom. Luv to you <3 Here are some passages that have ministered to me and to many people that I love. I Thess 4 (as you mentioned) 13Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 2 Cor 5 (when we are not in our body we are with Jesus) 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Psalm 116:15 (God hates death, but he cherishes the moment that we are in his immediate presence again) 15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. 16 O LORD, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of your maidservant ; you have freed me from my chains. 17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD. Isaiah 57 (God knows our limits and what lies ahead, he times our death according to his wisdom and his mercy) 1 The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. 2 Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. Father, bless this family. Comfort them in their loss, and bring every good thing to their minds as they remember those that were such a blessing in their life. Let them not lose sight of the Hope and the Confidence that they will see their loved ones again. But you see how much they miss them, and the void it has left in their life on this earth. You understand because you sorrowed when you were parted from their immediate presence. Now they are with you, experiencing the joy of your presence, help this family thru this time of difficulty as they wait for the day that their family will be reunited again. Comfort them and give the Strength. Joy as only you can bring Father. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
