I was wondering what they have been doing since leaving the Carolina Boys? I feel that Randy was the best lead vocalist in the post-Hamill era of the Kingsmen/Carolina Boys. Parker was a very solid baritone and anchored the group's sound for many years. I miss hearing these 2 together in the group.

Bryan Hutson said that Parker is driving a bus for a company in N.C. He showed up for Hamill's memorial service and according to Bryan, he sang with them and sounded great. IF you go on Myspace to the Kingsmen Quartet page, you can view photos from his memorial service and see a picture of Parker.

I believe I saw (in an earlier thread here) that Parker Jonathan was in the transportation industry--driving a truck or a bus.

In my opinion other than Ernie, Randy had the best sounding voice @ the 50th Reunion. What an awesome talent. I also agree with the best since the post Hamill era.

I agree , i liked Randy Crawford from the Carolina Boys and when he was with Brian Free and Assurance. Then Parker, he was always one of my favorite singers.

I didn't know Randy used to be with BF&A. Humm. Randy added something very special to the Carolina Boys' sound. I simply cannot stop listening to "Good News" and "Ready". I'm constantly playing these projects. I LOVE IT! I'll probably wear out the CDs by the end of the year Anyway, what is Randy doing now?

I agree about Crawford. You know, a lot of people don't realize he was on the Carolina Boys/ Ready project, because he is not pictured on the CD cover. But his voice is on all the songs. He just left after it was recorded, then the record company decided to airbrush his picture off of the CD cover art, he was originally on it. I have a page from an advertisement that showed him on that CD cover. Wish i had a scanner , i would scan it for everyone.

Guys please don't post things like I believe I saw, or So and So told me. Unless you have verified the truth then just don't post anything. I have talked with Rob Russell of http://www.russellcoach.com/index.php and he verified that Parker was driving for them. Ed

ORIGINAL: bigboytenor Captain_Smooth, settle down a little. No one is trying to defame anyone here, just wondering what these guys are doing. It was indicated that they weren't sure, but they had heard, not that it was the gospel. BTW - you then post that so and so confirmed to you . . . pot this is kettle. Laugh a little, I do every time I look in the mirror. I think you just read something into his post. It looks like to me that he was asking in a nice way. I think he was just trying to nip it in the bud. I have seen rumors get started on here before with statements just like that I am privileged to know Ed as a close personal friend. Trust me he does not need to settle down because I know he does not get fired up about to many things except his love the Lord, his family and the job that he does each and every night.

When I do not know something for an absolute fact, I do not state it as an absolute fact. That's why I stated "I believe I saw" and added--though more vaguely than ideal ("in an earlier thread here")--where I saw it.

Ed Captain Smooth- Isn't what you posted, the exact thing that Mr. Hutson was to have said? He said Parker, was driving a bus for a lease company. And having you as a friend, doesn't mean you can't calm down.

Capt. Smooth, Sorry if I offended you. I had asked Bryan at a Kingsmen concert and so that is why I posted what I did. However, I appreciate the caution and reminder. Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for all you do! Thank you for your apology. I know you nor Daniel were trying to offend me. You both did not do that. I was just trying to get the facts out front so things would not get out of hand as to what Parker was actually doing. He deserves that as an individual. Also thanks for the appreciation of what I do each week. Ed
