The latest chat thread is nearing it's natural demise of 100 pages.

I started the first thread with the goal of luring the wittiest and most interesting posters to the Southern Gospel folder, whether they were SG fans or potential SG fans, and I think it has worked.

The jury is still out on the number of conversions that have taken place, but we are not into accounting, just sewing seeds. (If only one has seen the light, it has been worth it.)

I am considering whether or not to move my chat thread to PFY, and I don't have a strong feeling either way.

Possible reasons to move to PFY include:

1. I wouldn't have to start a new thread every five or six weeks (not really a big deal).

2. Most of the people who post here already post in PFY.

3. It would open up a spot for a different style/type chat thread in SG.

4. It might be easier to find.

Possible reasons not to move:

1. No more luring people to SG who might not otherwise visit here.

2. Harder to entice people from SG to venture out (because of less contact with those who normally do not post in SG.

3. A break in tradition.

4. Possible significant drop in post count in the SG folder as threads are deleted (over 17,000 of the 137,000 posts in the SG folder are in "ask Kerrlaw" threads.

Let me know what you think.

Well it seems I am the only vote so far but I voted to keep it where it is. We are used to it here and always know where to find it. Plus I think it will get more posts here than in PFY. A lot of people post here and never venture over to the PFY folders. Besides you need to continue to expose those other posters to the greatest music in the world.

I want to keep it here, too. I'm lazy and don't want to go to any other folders except Games!!!

i voted to move it to PFY...but it doesn't really matter. yours is the only thread i post in in the SG folder...so that should tell you how important you are to me, as SG isn't really my first choice in music...or my 2nd choice, or my 3rd, or my last, well, you get the point.

however, i have grown to love you guys in spite of your musical preferences, so i'll post in your thread wherever it happens to land.

I agree with Batman!!!

I voted to keep it here...I'm one of those who don't venture out of SG unless there is an interesting link posted.

You could always have two threads! One here and one in PFY.

Keep it here. I don't think it should be around some of the people over there. It is to nice of a thread for that.

If you may have noticed I very seldom venture out of the SG threads. I have posted a very few times in Qtman's PFY thread and very few in Sharon-Marie's thread. And don't intend to visit PFY very often.
And I am noticing several that used to post in the Geezer thread no longer do so. Not sure why unless they are just tired of it.
So whatever you choose the people will accept. Have always enjoyed your threads especially the Ask Kerr threads.

I voted to keep it here in SG. I don't post a whole lot but it feels like I am getting out a little bit into different neighborhoods. A good thing for me right now.

Either way though, I would read. I am far from a SG officiano but I have definitely reconnected with some of the music, and the timing of all that has been important to me right now.

Oh and you're a nut, (with a huge heart) and you seem to be surrounded with/attract a bunch-brood-gaggle-pile ? of other nuts and nutettes. Who wouldn't want to be some kind of part of that?

I may be thinking of the wrong thread, but I still think it should remain here where we love Kerr.

I was going to vote "Send him lots of cookies", but inexplicably, that was not one of the choices. I had to settle for "keep him here" (where he really belongs).

zzzzzzzzzz

I'm sure he would not mind adding your choice.

If he went there I have a feeling most of us would go along. Now what we couldn't do to the theology thread. There would be some very upset people I am sure.
