ORIGINAL: TQ_Fan_4_Life is it Yankee for the New Yorkers? I am not at all. The reason why I call myself Yankee nut is caused I am a hugh yankee fan. not sure who Hugh Yankee is but since he don't wear the pinstripe bb uniform I guess can talk to you then j/k. so what do you think of your teams draft this year? and for all. did the picks improve the team in your opinion. forget the espn and all the other draft reports. do you as a fan not an analyst, feel the team will improve? even if the picks can be traded for established star/semi-star will they be helpful? I am not sure about the draft quite yet. But am getting excited about the up comeing season but am not sure about Smith though. Three Years into the league and he hasn't really proformed for us yet. Looked awesome the first two games but when Pittsburgh came to town everthing went wrong. I like that we signed Mike Marks though. Hope he dose well with the boys.

I think they would have played the Giants better than the worthless Patsies. Good thing for the Giants because they just barely beat the "worthless Patsies". If the Steelers had played better the Giants would have lost. No offense to the Giants, they pulled off a great win, one for the ages. Or the Steelers, who made a nice comeback in the Jacksonville game IIRC. But the Patriots didn't play horribly and there is no reason to believe the Steelers or anyone else would have done better against a Giants team riding an incredible wave of momentum. Speaking of that, I think we'll see much less of the resting your starters junk when things are clinched. The two teams that did not do that (because of the unbeaten thing) made it to the Super Bowl whereas my second team, the fool Bucs, rested starters to excess and were quickly dispatched from the playoffs, their just reward for such stupidity. They pulled Garcia while they still had a chance to snatch the #3 seed. Seattle had to lose, they were beating the Ravens 24-3 at halftime. The Ravens probably would not have come back but you don't make decisions to pull reasonably healthy starters based on the idea that a team can't come back from a 3 touchdown deficit.

Sorry if I touched a nerve but I never have liked the Patriots and my ex-cousin's friend played for them years ago. I dislike them and I am not ashamed to say that its more personal than professional.

How much closer could the Pats have played the Giants? It seemed to be taking a shot just to take a shot with no reality behind it. Kind of like some of the shots taken at Tom Brady . Did your ex-cousin's friend have a bad experience with the Pats? I wouldn't be surprised as the Pats don't always treat their players well (see Brown, Troy). Of course that is on Belichick who makes the player personnel decisions (the GM Pioli functions more as a cap expert and confidant but Belichick has the final say in all personnel decisions). It seems like we sold our soul to win three Super Bowls.

My ex-cousin (he divorced my cousin in the mid-1980's) was Mike Hohensee past QB of the Washington Federals of the short lived USFL. He now is head coach of the arena football Chicago Rush. He threw the first TD in AFL history. Didn't know how to treat a lady though!

The good old USFL. Hated to see it go. Loved the Breakers. Boston right? I first thought Birmingham but they were the Stallions, no? I remember the two teams that signed all the NFL guys, the Generals and Federals kinda flopped (the Federals more so).
