So have you been to check out your local parlor yet in relation to the sort of designs you like> Take care. ... No but I have a friend who designs tattoos and he's making them for me and then his buddy is going to do the tattoos. Hey so his friend has a parlor, does he? though some tattooists operate a mobile service, so that they come to you, like. Are you likely to chicken out / have second thoughts (etc) at the last moment when you see the needle etc. Take care.

No, I don't think so. I've been thinking earnestly about this for a few years. The only stopping me is the fact that I am a single woman and I know there are a lot of Christian men that do not approve of tattoos, let alone on Christians. Then again, if he were truly the man for me, he would accept them as a part of me, right? Something to think about...

Or maybe if it were faith related ink, it would be more out of conviction? But what do I know? Take care.

My decision to get a tattoo won't be because of a 'dare' or because I feel like I'm 'rebelling'. I'm almost 30 years old...I have nothing to prove to anyone; this is just for me.

Gee whiz. Has no one ever read the Old Testament? Tattoos are expressly forbidden by the LORD God of Israel. Leviticus 19:28 (New King James Version) 28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD.

That was part of the law. It also says 19 " ..."'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material." as well.

Most people don't realize it but it still is the law: Matthew 5 (New King James Version) 17 Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.

And fulfilled He did! Galations: 2:16 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. 2:19 For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Gal 3:10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Gal 3:19 What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator. Gal 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. 26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus... Gal 4:3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. Hebrews 7:11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

They're talking about man's law. Notice that the "l" in the word "law" in the book of Galatians is not capitalized. Please note when Jesus spoke of the Law he used the capital "L" Obviously the Law of the LORD God of Israel overrules the law of man.
