ORIGINAL: DSQ1 In the 1960's when The LeFevre men would sing as a quartet, Jimmy Jones would sing baritone. If you have never listened to any of those recordings you should. I got a few and I am sure that Chaz does also. Yep, I've pretty much got a complete LeFevres library-- thanks to ebay! Jimmie was a great man, and could sing a solid bari line. After he left the LeFevres, he started a fine group with Charles Key, Johnny Peace (Tony's Dad), Kathryn Day and Sandy Eller. It was called "The Good News Singers". Eventually, Jimmie left the group, and Tony (an awesome baritone, himself) became the owner of TGNS. He kept it going until he joined the Wilburns in '93. A few years later, Jimmie started up a male group called "The Heralds". They sang until Jimmie died in '06.
