Gold City with Free, Parker, LeFevre, and Riley, with Taco and the band.
Gold City with Parrack, Wilburn, Trammell, and Riley, with Eleton and the band.
I never saw Perfect Heart, except on a video, so I would join the others in adding them, too.

SamPaasch -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/27/2008 10:35:19 PM)

I'd like to see the Stamps back on stage.
Also Mosie Lister and the Statesmen Qt.
Those would be awesome concerts.

I just bought the "Best of the Cathedrals" from the Gaither Series off eBay recently. Man, I wish I could have gone to just one more concert.....[&o] I would add Anthony Burger to that list, too.

You've got one up on me--I wish I could have gone to just one Cathedrals concert.

At least I did catch Roger Bennett before his death, and I've seen several other former Cathedrals in concert as well.

Well, two on my list are doing so. Josh Feemster and Chris West! [:D]

Would like to see Josh Cobb come back to a group, but he's making his own music in a different genre now.

And I would add Brent Mitchell, Christian Davis, Shane Dunlap and Scott Allen!!! I'm really hoping to hear from these guys very soon about their singing plans. I will get to see Josh, Chris, and Brent on May 9!! [sm=dance.gif][sm=dance.gif][sm=dance.gif]

As far as individuals, I'd love to see Randy Perry again. Whatever happened to him anywhos?

Randy is preaching most of the time. I see him every year in Dahlongea Ga at the Gold Rush days gospel concert (he's the host) and occasionally see him at other Perrys concerts when they are in his area.

armydude -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 8:23:50 AM)

Thanks!

DeeAnnBailey -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 8:24:27 AM)

Of the impossible the list is long - Anthony Burger, Doug Riley, Roger Bennett, Rex Nelon, Glen Payne, Eldridge Fox, Wendy Bagwell and the list goes on!

I hope to see Tim Riley, Jay Parrack and Jonathan Wilburn at the Gold City homecoming. That will be great! Chris Collins, Randy Matthews, Adam Borden (gee I wonder if Daniel could get him to come to the Homecoming??), Joel Key, Heavenbound, Hemphills, Parker Jonathan, Donna (Forgot her married last name) Lester, and this list goes on as well.

H.L. -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 3:24:02 PM)

I wish the Cathedrals could come back (Roger Bennett is/was my favorite pianist). I did get to see them once though, so I guess I shouldn't complain! And, I would have liked to have seen Gold City with Mark, Jay and Tim.

flyinr -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 3:48:42 PM)

Hm... maybe those are the "future plans" Brent has talked about! [:D]

And yes, I agree that Brent needs to make a comeback, and especially Scott. That guy can sing!

Mrmusicfan -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 6:15:57 PM)

I would love to see Jessica King or Nicole Watts make a reappearance. I've been listening a lot to their music from when they were really popular. They both sorta disappeared a few years ago. I'd also love to see the Original Paynes, N'Harmony, and Won by One make a reappearance. I would also like to see Parker Jonathan or the Hinsons (even if Kenny is no longer w/us...). A really great treat would be if Tim,Tony, and Kim got together and sang a few dates here and there....that's something I would pay to see!

On a side note...
I was looking back through some back issues of SN from '98 and was wondering what happened to the group that one Horizon Group.I believe their name was the Florida Melody Boys. Does anyone know what happened to them? Come to think of it, I don't recall how they sounded or any hits of theirs.Would anyone know?

U376977 -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 7:32:13 PM)

I grew up on the Goodmans. Vestal and Rusty together again would be awesome. And Mr. James Blackwood. And what about Ken Turner with the Blackwoods? He sang some great bass.

KingsmenQuartetFan -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 11:08:55 PM)

I would like to see:
Parker Johnathan
Randy Crawford
Nick Succi
Gary Dillard
Jason Selph
The Hinsons
Singing Americans
Teddy Huffman and the Gems
HeavenBound
Crystal River(original lineup)

Mrmusicfan -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 11:23:22 PM)

Whatever happened to Teddy Huffam & the Gems? They were really good!

U376977 -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/28/2008 11:29:06 PM)

Wow, Teddy Huffam. It has been years since I thought of them. I used to have an old cassett of the group that had a song called, "his name says it all." Great song.

SoloSGArtist -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/29/2008 12:09:59 AM)

i'd like to see the martins in full swing.

Mike Presnell (former bass singer for Perfect Heart)

Absolutely!!!!

Mike is getting an new quartet started in northeast TN. The group is named The Way Quartet. Also part of the group will be Jimmy Dunn, who was with the Wisecarvers(?), and Tommy Smith, who was with the Living Waters Trio for a time. They are already on their second tenor. The one that just joined is named Jonathan Kunkle.

armydude -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/29/2008 8:16:30 AM)

Hmmmm... I wonder if he needs a baritone? [:D]

lsutton5144 -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/29/2008 8:43:21 AM)

Tim Greene for two reasons. One, that would mean that he has his health back. Two, The Greenes haven't been the same without him.

Tim made a brief appearance at Singing in the Sun last week. He came out on stage during the Saturday morning showcase. He didn't sing, just came out to thank everyone for their prayers. It was great seeing him.

KingsmenQuartetFan -> RE: Who do you want to see come back? (4/29/2008 2:49:15 PM)

Yea...I hear Teddy's version of "John the Revelator" on the Solid Gospel station quite a bit and I enjoy their version very much

Oh man, that song and Steppin on the Clouds - in person they were AWESOME but one of my favorite memories was a night they play with the Cats (Tremble, Webster, Cooley years) and all the Cats came out and did it with them including their 'steppin on the clouds moves' I wish I had a video!!!!!!!

After the concert Roy Tremble was laughing and said 'I think I did pretty good for fat white boy!' I still laugh when I remember the sight of all the Cats and the Gems hopping across the stage on one leg 'steppin' on the clouds!

If I remember correctly that concert was in Statesville, NC
