I just found out that Jackie Street died back in February. He has played bass and numerous CCM and Gospel recordings for such artists as DC Talk, Jaci Velasquez, Out of Eden, Anointed, Michael W Smith, and a host of others. He was a fine example of what a bass palyer should be; he wasn't known for having fancy chops and a lot of flash, but he could lay down a solid groove. He will be missed.

Yeah i heard about this a few days ago from Bryan Duncans web site. He will definately be missed from the music scene. I was listening to one of Natalie Grants cd's and happened to noticed he played much of the bass for her "Awaken" cd. He has contributed to much success of many artists. Imagine the music he'll be playing in heaven now!

Awww man!!!! He was one of the great bass players in CCM!!![:(]
