Oooohhhh...but Nadine: you've had a date.

I don't care what you CALL it, I am soooo green.

I haven't had a date in so many years...

*sigh*.

I'm so happy for you.

That's actually a good question. It would seem to me that the quote would need to be original, but that would be the admin's final call.
If you wanted it quoted, you could always copy it and paste it into a post. Then she'd have a link to email in.

If you find out the answer before I do, let me know!

Well, just in case, here's the quote in a post

"Many wise words are spoken in jest, but they don’t compare with the number of stupid words spoken in earnest. "

And just to reiterate...it is not original with me. I do not know who said it.

Good Morrow All!!!

Today is the first day of school here in Scottsdale, AZ., and I am finding myself feeling a wee bit guilty because I am breathing a big sigh of relief that the summer is OVER. LOL and I homeschooled for 8 years and would not have even thought of putting them in school. But then again, they are teenagers now.
I have one whole hour of quiet until my niece brings the babies. ah.... quiet!

Yep. First day of school for the munchkin too.

On the way, he was complaining how much he hates school. I reminded him that he's one of the "big kids" now (junior high), and that this will be a different experience than the lower grades. I also told him that having a better attitude towards school would be helpful.

Wow, y'all start early!

Both my school and GP4's will start next week...hers on Tuesday, mine on Wednesday. GP3 will homeschool again this semester...if it works, she'll keep on homeschooling through the year.

Art school where I work will officially start classes 8/25.

It's been fun, and I'm sad it's almost over. Heck, I'm just now getting my house in decent order from last semester!

This semester, I'm determined to do a better job keeping house even if it means I take slightly lower grades in school.

You know, this is almost unbelievable to me. Remember when school started back up in September? Summer is supposed to go through August! Waaaaa!

I agree, Pam. I think it's criminal that the kids have school work to do in the summer and then they cut it so short. We never started school before Labor Day and mine go back the 25th.

I HATE school.

Ours start next Thursday. I'm praying that a teacher goes out soon, so I can have a job. (Is it bad to pray for somebody else's sickness?)

If it's that much better of a job, we should pray that Terri gets it.

Or maybe we could pray that a teacher retires and she gets that job...

That's good. Or that they decide to move out of state. Or retire. Yeah, something other than get sick.

Well since i'm just a substitute, I have to ask for sickness. Maybe a surgery that'll put them out, but not be harmful to their health.

i think so. personally i'd direct my prayers to WHEN a teacher goes out, that you will be asked ... that you do a good job ... and attract favor with higher ups to get repeats calls

Well, I was just on the district website. As of last Monday 3 TA jobs were still open. Since i'm technically already employed by the district I can put in a transfer/letter of interest. I called somebody so I can get more information on what I need to do. Hopefully I'll be starting work next week. Please pray for me!
