I know their bass singer. He lives in IL, in a town not far from me. They are a nice bunch of guys, as well as talented singers and songwriters.

A group that I really like and they are very young is The Disciples Quartet. They are based out of Indiana. They perform with such energy and excitement! They will actually be performing with Called Out Quartet in July. I can't wait!

There has not been much said about Northern groups. If you love tight harmonies, and unusual chord's, then you need to listen to the Calvarymen Qt. They are from Flint, Mi. They have been singing for 50+ years. They are an exceptional Qt. You can hear them by going to thier web-site www.calvarymen.com, and then going to the myspace page at the bottom of the home-page. It is worth the visit.

Be listening for Calvary's Voice! I saw them last month, and was completely impressed--great sound, very professional, and super nice guys! Their website is www.calvarysvoice.org.

Before I even knew what Southern Gospel music was, I grew up listening to a group called The Rories. I still love their sound and listening to their records. One group that I think should be national but who don't seem to get a lot of national publicity is The Roy Knight Singers.

Yes, The Roy Knight Singers are still singing and I think just put out a new CD. I used to listen to them in the 1980s but had lost track of them until my sisters found their "Greener Pastures" CD a couple years ago and got it for me. Sandy's my favorite songwriter but I also really like her voice.
