Sarah - thanks, you calmed me down. I know I am the type of person to organize and reorganize a thousand times anyways...so I am just in chill mode today thanks to you!! Kathryn - I had gained 12lbs in 4 weeks one time...and I wasn't as sick as you during my first trimester. I think you are fine! You are doing all the right things...keep your head up! PureJoy- I forgot you had said that, I will go find that thread now...thanks!

Kristin - your siggy makes me laugh! What a huge range! I'm sorry people are being insensitive and talking about c-sections just because the baby might be big! I hope you get the due date figured out soon!

LOL...me too...I am CONSTANTLY reorganizing things all the time....it finally gets all completely done, and we move....lol. I feel like we are finally starting to feel settled here and we have been here a year. We finally have the rooms mostly how they need to be and are finally starting to get from just organizing to decorating...and that feels so good. But as far as organizing goes, you will spend the next few years redoing your whole system every few months anyway because the needs of the baby will change that often. What you will need at arms reach when they are newborn isn't necessarily what you will need when they are a few months old. So just take it slowly and as it comes and grow with it....it will all come together. I consider organizing kind of like laundry...you keep doing it over and over again and weed things out as you go and add more things, but it's never a job that is totally ever done for life....lol

Good way of putting it Sarah! Donna - how did your separated pelvis happen? during labor? what does it feel like? something happened to mine today, and now I can't spread my legs or stand up good and I can't touch my pelvic bone without it hurting...I don't know what is wrong, and you are the first person I thought of. (hopefully I am thinking of the right person!!)

Kristin, I'm kind of butting in, I had a separated pelvis with my daughter's pregnancy. It's called SPD, Symphosis Pubic Dysfunction. A midwife friend of mine said it's common in second (or more) pregnancies since it's often caused by the "frog" position used during pushing. With mine, I had excrutiating pain in my pelvis that made moving with my legs assymetrical almost impossible. Getting out of bed, walking, even setting the emergency brake on my car (I have one of those that you have to step on with your left foot) - SO painful! It really helps to find ways that you can do things while keeping your legs together. You can Google the name of it for more info. My doc told me that if I had it this time she would prescribe physical therapy, you can use an elastic band which can provide some relief if it is SPD. I'll tell you though, it can be kind of tough to get some doctors to diagnos this, some docs won't even acknowledge it's a real thing.

(hopefully I am thinking of the right person!!) Yes, we believe mine happened during my first labor. Noah was stuck on my pubic bone and there was a loud pop when he came free. My mom had a similar experience with my brother and xrays now show that she actually broke her pelvis in that same spot. If you google the SPD Julie mentioned, it'll tell you all about it. Might want to print out the symptoms, mark the ones you have, and take it to your doctor.

My husband is graduating today!!! I'm so excited and SOOOOO proud of him!!! He doesn't have any job leads yet, so that has me worried, but we still have until July 1 for me to get out of my teaching contract. If he gets a job, I'll be a stay at home mom (or at the most, work part time in the evenings or something). If he doesn't get a job, well, I guess I'll be teaching for another year... Ah well. Whatever happens will be for the best. And I still think that his resigning was the best decision. I got a letter in the mail yesterday, which was a surprise. With Gabe's birthday last weekend and his graduation this weekend, he's been getting tons of mail, but I don't get anything but bills I opened my letter and it was a Mother's Day card from my mother-in-law (where's a "tears of joy" emoticon when you need one???) She hasn't really shown any interest in the pregnancy and hasn't even mentioned it much, so it was really nice of her to send me a Mother's Day card. It's the first one I've ever gotten (obviously... that's just be mean of someone to send me one last year or something ). I'll keep it forever

I'd call your doctor and see what they think. How many weeks are you now? I know it's not 25, as it says in your siggy, since I'm 23 and I'm due two months after you. So you must be around 31 or 32? Bed rest does sound like a good idea, but with your history, I'd not wait until Tuesday. Is your doctor doing anything to encourage the baby's lungs to develop? If something is happening, they will probably want to do that. ((((((((((((((Jess))))))))))))) Praying for you and the little guy...

Good point about the lung development. I haven't had anything to help with that. Paul won't be home until 6 this evening - I *can not* go in to L&D by myself, and I really don't want to call someone from church to go in with me either. It's really, really hard for me to go in there just because of the past (even tho everything has worked out fine - it still scares me a little going in.) If I call I will probably just be able to talk to the nurse on duty, and she would just ask the doctor on duty... I feel like they'd tell me to come in, so I will call once Paul gets home or is closer to heading home. It happened to me right after I posted the last post, then I went and lay down (Judah went down for a nap too) and I just now got up as he just woke up, so everything has been fine. I did take myself off the progesterone this past week. My doctor doesn't know, but it's suppose to end soon anyway, and it was making the area feel bruised and super sensitive. When I tried talking to my doctor about it he didn't believe me, so I finally decided to just take myself off it and see if the 'bruised' feeling went away and it did. I went back on it and the feeling came back, so I'm off it for good now. (And it was debatable how effective it was in the first place.) ETA: Oh ya, I am 32 weeks on Monday :)

Please tell me you ladies go through panic modes once in a while when it gets closer to the end. Yes. Every time. Look HERE for proof... quote:

Here is Jae's stroller thread, but if it doesn't fit, you could start an in general stroller thread, I think. It's been almost a month since that one's been posted in. ETA...Jess, I'm sure you'll find someone who will be thrilled to take him. It sounds like you have a lot of good friends/church family down there, which is wonderful!

Okay, so ibuprofen is on the list of no-no meds from my doctor. But I have a wicked sinus infection that tylenol and sudafed are not helping enough. Kellymom.com says ibuprofen is a low risk in the first and second trimesters. I know if taken too close to delivery, it can cause a heart defect in baby. But I'm 23 weeks and all my babies have been born at 39 weeks or later. I so want to take it because I think it will help with the pain. Would you take it?
