When I called your home number I kept getting a busy signal--from about 2 pm my time to about 7 pm. I didn't want to call later than that. I would have called you at work..but I couldn't get to my PMs on here, which I think is the only place I have your work number. I cannot believe how many things we use internet for that I really missed all week...especially working on the computer at work and knowing all my friends were only a few clicks away...but not being able to visit!!!! While I could at my last job, I most certainly cannot at this one. So far I have only had about 5 minutes' down time anyway, and that was only utnil someone realized I was unoccupied. They are taking turns using me, that is how busy they have been.

Hi my name is ezri...

I am an Oreo Purist.

I believe that anything but chocolate cookies outside and white creamy filling stuff inside going by the name "Oreo" is a fraud. Frauds being elaborate lies would then be considered a sin.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery right?

I can't say for sure if you're sick or allergic. The only way to tell is to wait for your symptoms to clear up, then go back to work. If your symptoms return, you're allergic. Make sure you are getting plenty of fluids. If your symptoms return at work, try some Zyrtec - I know it's a little pricey, but it's the best otc allergy med out there. You can get generics now which helps a bit with the cost.
Yeah, that is my plan...I figure I will feel better by monday and then go back and see what happens. I really hope that I am just sick, I need this job!

I am trying to get plenty of fluids but I have to sip, because I get queasy otherwise.

Peanut butter Oreos didn't sound that good to me, but fudge dipped Oreos might be tempting.

I love fudge covered oreos. That's one of those special treats I get maybe once a year and savor every crumb.

I don't like oreos. Chewing through that black cardboard reminds me of nails on a chalkboard.

That is odd. I wonder if we were having phone issues, which happens rather frequently at my house. I can't imagine who would have been on the phone for that many hours.

You can call anytime up to midnight your time. Trust me, we're up.

I don't think I was up much later myself, though, lol. I know the boys were up for hours after I went to bed, watching Due South. I keep falling asleep when they watch it...so I still haven't seen any episodes, lol.

Brandon called my old office to find out if he got that job...really he should have been notified ages ago. It sounds to me like the new guy who is running it is ill-equipped for his job. He said they had only done one drawing and they would be doing the other next week..but it was me that figured out there had to be only one drawing, and we corrected everything to match that..including trashing Brandon's duplicate application! I emailed Cute Guy to find out what was really going on...but honestly if things will be run this badly perhaps it's best Brandon doesn't work there! Ticks me off, though, because there is no excuse..this as NOT a hard task! CG hasn't answered my email yet.

Because we did not know, most of the summer activities that Brandon wanted to participate in are no longer open.

I love Oreos. Any kind, any shape, dipped and not dipped.

Somebody brought in strawberry or cherry oreos where I work. I did not like them at all.

My name is Kara. Like Ezri, I am an Oreo purist. While it has taken many years to finally tolerate the concept of 'double stuffed,' I will never be a convert for any other variation of that wonderful confection.

The problem with that theory, Ez, is that if enough peopl didn't like the adulterated Oreos, the company would quit making them.

Ezri, I just sent you an email with some pics...wouldja, couldja?

The sweetest thing just happened. Seriously sweet. Noah is with my parents tonight and Nick and Hannah were out playing in the sandbox, or so I thought. They just came in, with big grins on their faces, hands full of flowers (the kind that some call weeds) and said "Happy Early Mother's Day!!!" I have *never* been acknowledged by Nick on Mother's Day...not ever. He's always with his mom on that day, as he should be...but it still hurts every year. They both had huge handfuls of the longest stemmed dandelions they could find. I think I've posted on my blog about how much I love dandelions, even though so many people hate them. It was seriously all I could do not to burst into tears while I thanked them, took pictures, and then put them in water. I can't stop crying now that they're outside again. Who knew dandelions could be the best Mother's Day gift ever?

Donna, that made me cry. I am so happy for you.

We want to fix up our canoe for this summer but ultimately we would like four kayaks (why four?...long story, involving my paddle-crazy baby sister and the fact that none of us want to be stuck with a 2-man kayak without the second man). So Nate and I were tooling around Rei.com. They have a LADIES' kayak made 'for ample hips and short arms'!!! In PINK or BLUE, lol.
It even boasts extra space for 'acessories'.

I think I have died and gone to paddling heaven!

Awww, Donna, that is sweet. Nick really is an adorable child. It's just hard to tell sometimes.

Jen, I'm sorry, but a pink kayak just seems wrong somehow.

You could probably talk me into blue flames. I guess it would depend on exactly what shade of pink you're using. If you insist on using pink at all, but I don't know why you would.

Since there is no good place for lace or ribbon on a kayak, I have to SETTLE for pink.
