Did you get a check in the mail or was it direct deposited into your account? This question is for anyone that has already received the money. We found out that we are getting a check, not direct deposit, as we had originally thought.

We have got it direct deposited, and then a statement in the mail later saying that it was sent.

Ours was direct deposit, and the letter saying how much we were getting came over a week later.

Has anyone started a thread about the stimulus checks? I haven't seen one, but have a hard time believing that there isn't one already. I don't want to duplicate a thread.

I am having to use my painkillers at least once during the days. Today's dose just kicked in. Yesterday, I found a post that I had made and it was REALLY poorly done. So if my posts look unusually bad, please forgive me. I just like the company so much that I can't stay away.

LOL! I don't if that is good or bad. I just really noticed it yesterday when Shar-mar quoted something that I had said to comment on it. I tried to read it out loud to Russ and had a really hard time reading it. I was surprised that she could make out what I was trying to say at all. I had mis-typed, mis-spelled, and left our so many words. Maybe if you haven't noticed then maybe it isn't happening as often as I was fearing that it was happening. It was a REALLY awful post.

That's because everyone who was getting them by direct deposit should have them by now. The rest will be checks.

We had that happen, too. I thought that was kind of funny.

I just got Buckaroo to sleep. My goodness is he cranky today It is understandable, of course, but he has worn me out. He usually enjoys car rides. So I thought he'd enjoy going to yard sales. Big mistake! We ended up coming home after the 2nd one so he could nurse. Although, he doens't nurse for milk much anymore, just for comfort. I think he is weaning himself of milk during the day. It is sad, but at the same time I am okay with it.

Last night he must of been "high" on meds still in his system. He was so hyper and "wired" and giggly. I couldn't hardly get him to settle down. Today he is so crabby, he acts like he hates the world.

I am home with a stomach bug this afternoon, as well. I was so shaky at work I didn't feel I could continue. I am just now sitting up for the first time in nearly two hours and I don't think I am going to be able to maintain this for long!

My paycheck is normally direct deposited. I used to get it on the Tuesday after my work week, but then they changed it to Fridays. Well, I called today and basically she said, 'oops, I forgot to put you in the computer. you will have to wait until next payday.' I don't think I was rude but I said, 'That is unacceptable, I have been unemployed for nearly two months and need the money'. I did not hear back all morning, and really thought I was being given the brush-off. In the meantime, my boss found out what was going on and she was very unhappy about it, and she called herself. When I got home they called again and said, 'we will BRING YOU a debit card right now with the money on it!' LOL I said in the mail was fine as I am not going anywhere today, that is for sure! But I am glad she did this, as I was beginning to think I should not go back to work until I got paid! I don't like that job, and I am only staying there for the money!

Hi, everyone! We just got back from the new Narnia movie. OK, I won't give you any spoilers! All I am saying is that Ds said it was awesome, dh said that I wouldn't watch Lord of the Rings with him but would watch Prince Caspian, and I thought there was too much fighting in it. I liked the first one better!! OK, that's all I am saying about it!
Gotta go!

Judii, Did I ever get a chance to thank your son for sharing the end of the Bridge to Taribithia? It let me know that I needed to read ahead first. It gave me a chance to sob while read it so I wouldn't while reading it to the kids. Then I cried watching the movie.

I am glad that you enjoyed the Caspian movie. I hope that we get to see it.

DD2 better have her growth spurt and stop eating soon. So far today she's had a bowl of cereal for breakfast. Then we went to my mom's house to clean and she ate lunch there:
Double decker ham sandwhich
Container of dots (those ice cream pebbles)
a large apple
Then my mom got home from school and said she had made up the stuff for home made icecream which is pretty healthy: cream, eggs, no junk stuff like preservatives.
Then we got home and she had 2 slices of bacon and 4 pieces of french toast.
Now she's having another double decker ham sandwhich.

Here's the funny thing though. She said she was hungry and I asked what she thought she wanted to eat. she said "I know a um, um, um, what's it called..." (I am thinking some unusual bizzare thing) "Oh yeah, a ham sandwhich" How can you forget what a ham sandwhich is called?!?!

Wait until your son starts eating for a growth spurt!! I have two sons that are bottomless pits! 13yrDD is like that too when she doesn't take an ADHD pill. I bought 50 dollars worth of snack foods/crackers/chips etc... for my trip to MN. 3 kids (almost 11, 6 and baby) ate all of it in 3 days.

DS is only 7 but never been as big of an eater. DD2has always been my biggest eater. Until a year ago she was toothpick skinny too. Now she looks like she's getting ready to go up. She's filled out a little and is more solid. #2 has always been my biggest eater.

I'm laughing at you, Zoebob, because growth-spurt eating at my house involves three times as much food as you are amazed at today, lol. Watch out! I have always said that child support should automatically go up when your son turns 12, just to pay for the extra groceries!!!

I finally got all the plants I've bought over the past 2 weeks in the ground. I was out there planting by porch light until well after dark, but at least it's done. I have threatened dh with his life if he goes anywhere near that spot with the tractor. He is famous for mowing everything. If the tractor fits there, he will mow it.

I did not plant Ashley's birthday rose bush because she's not here at the moment and I wanted her to pick the spot for it. Most likely she will say she doesn't care where it goes, but I at least want to ask her. I already have the spot picked out where I think it should go, and it will most likely go there. She is a pretty laid back girl.

Jesse and I had a little campfire and roasted hot dogs after I finished planting. No one else wanted to come out. It is pretty chilly out there. I lasted until the campfire died down enough to realize that my jeans were still wet and my nose was cold. Then I burned my thumb on a hot dog and decided to call it a night.

LOL OK Jen. My 12 yr old doesn't eat that much. I don't remember eating that much either. OF course at that age I went to school and had close to an hour commute.
My typical daily diet was 3- 4piecesof toast in AM.
Sandwhich (pb&j or a slice of American cheese on 2 pieces of bread) and small bag of chips and 1 cookie or small piece of cake (like 1.5 inches square)for lunch
Whatever mom planned for dinner.

I wish it were dark and chilly here! It's running right around 100 degrees today and tomorrow, and we have had the a/c on high and the sun is beating in and we are still overly warm...I think I am going to have to run it all night instead of opening the windows, which is what I prefer.

Yet another reason to homeschool...I expected my boys, Brandon especially, to be painfully thin, because their dad was. He was six foot three inches upon graduation and weighed 145 lbs!! I have seen pics and he was skeletal, seriously. You could nearly count is teeth through his cheeks. But the boys are healthy. Thin, yes, but not skinny. So I thought back and remembered Jody talking about foraging for food after school--that poor boy was starving! AND, he is hypoglycemic! If these two were in school they would be in serious trouble because they eat all the time. If their eating were to be restricted to breakfast, lunch, a snack at 4 in the afternoon and dinner...man, would they be cranky, malnourished kids!

I am so grateful, really, that God led me to homeschooling and has supported me through all of these years doing it. Every day I see more and more advantages.

Cindy,

I don't need to tell you at least 6 hours of sun(preferably afternoon sun) and good drainage right?

Roses don't like wet feet. if you dig the hole and wait over night and there is water in the bottom it is not a good spot.

I was just out in my well neglected rose garden. It is thriving despite my lack of weeding and watering. jerry has set up a 30 gallon rain collection thing... You know like you'd put up to catch the rain coming off your roof. anyway he has it set up and has Jared dumping a 5 gallon bucket that is collecting the water condensation from the AC unit into it daily. YES the ac unit is making 5 gallons of water a day.

We are going to attach a soaker hose to it and let it gravity feed the water into the roses. It is also in a good place to run the hose down from the well head so we don't water the roses with filtered water.

~ezri
