Our church overseer is coming today to go over some evaluations the church filled out on my DH. My DH is nervous and border line going nuts. Pray that all goes well. He's been rackin his brain wondering what could possibly be said that he needed a meeting with him instead of just a phone call. The ony thing we can think of is that our overseer "visioned" a Wednesday night service at the church instead of a Wednesday night prayer meeting at someone's house. The people like this prayer meeting and they are good. This church likes to have good old fashion prayer meetings. At first, we weren't crazy about the idea of a home group either, until we went to one. I don't think the overseer has ever been to one. (that I know of) I think our defense is up. At least it is for DH. Because of a previous church overseer. I think he is border line of even wanting to be in the ministry with the stress of these evaluations and I think if something negative was to happen he could throw in the towel on ministry for a while. So, pray for strength, too.

I hate the frost, especially at the END of may. It is almost JUNE! It is SUPPOSED to be summer in a few weeks and we still have FROST! I just wanted to say that last week I had no energy due in part from the surgery and in part from having a lack of thyroid. after having trouble even holding my arm's up long enough to do my daughter's hair and I was swaying if I stood for very long (not long); I even called a doctor about it. I spent Wednesday and Thursday in bed even... SLEEPING! Well... Friday I ran all over a Chapel with a camera. Saturday I ran all over the Chapel (up and down and up and down and... two flights of stairs) with a camera, garments, messages, CDs and more. Sunday I also had energy. II am resting a lot still, but I feel as though God has spoken to me saying, "You have NO energy... none at all. It is all Me. It is all My energy. I am the one that is keeping you going" Just so you know, this doesn't mean that I am being foolish. I am still taking it easy as much as I can and resting plenty. But when I need to move... I can. But it is only through God that I can. It makes the phrase, " they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." I can imagine this so much easier now.

I hear you on the global warming!!! The lake is still about 63*. My race is in a week and a half. As in I will be racing in 60-some degree water. I've been swimming--hey I gotta train!!!--and it's been cold. Very cold!!! Ellie-Mae--It will take your body a while to adjust. Rest when you need!

I am listening to my body. I have been just feeling surprisingly well most of the time. Except for last week end (after which I did not crash), I have been feeling really lazy, but very awake and alert. I do rest in the afternoon. Also, I have found that I can't push a grocery cart or lift with my right arm. When I need to do something, I have been able to do it (not lifting or carrying anything more than a couple of pounds, but schooling, computer stuff, light cleaning, painting some shopping and that sort of stuff). No, I won't be on medication for another three weeks (I think). I think that I am supposed to hit rock bottom in my hormone levels before I start taking meds. I am still trying to get into see the other edno though.

I am looking into taking a college course this coming fall. This would be very hard for me as I am not used to being away from my family much. It will be a class in digital photography. I have found an outlet for my computer "skills". i am really feeling God's leading in this. I am very excited, but am I am a little nervous about new experiences. BUT I am way more brave than I used to be before the whole adoption thing that we went through. Speaking of which... Hillside (who does adoptions) is coming tomorrow at 11am. Please be in prayer for us. I am VERY nervous about this, but Russ is perfectly at peace about it.

Ellie-Mae-Hope that you regain your strength quickly!! Hope things go well with the interview tomorrow. Cindy-Please keep us posted on Brandon. I'm sorry that you have this concern. Um...not everyone from Pittsburgh is liberal. It can be the place of someone's birth and that person can be a conservative. We are having summer like weather here. I mowed the grass this evening while dh grilled burgers.

I had dirt left over from when I had it delivered for our raised bed vegetable garden. Dh made me another, smaller bed to use up the rest of the dirt. I filled it up and still had dirt left, so I asked my neighbor if she wanted it. She was thrilled. We have two wheelbarrows. MM and I took some over to her, then I had MM stop. She is a tiny little thing and I didn't think it was good for her back to push the heavy wheelbarrow. Then I sent TL over to help the neighbor with her kids so the neighbor lady could help move the dirt. We got it finished in no time flat. Now she has some of the best dirt available and will be able to put in a small patch of garden, which she already has starts for, but didn't have dirt. She said it was an answer to prayer. I can now get my van back into the garage, since the dirt pile is completely gone. Praise the Lord. Next weekend, I am going to sow lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard and possible raddish seeds. I sincerely hope this garden grows well and we have a good harvest. I am hoping to bless my brother and his wife with produce. I haven't told him that, since I have never put in a garden before and do not have any idea how well this is going to do. I can't see why not though. We should have lots of stuff to share.

Thanks for the edit, Donna ... it didn't look that huge on my widescreen monitor ... Day started off great ... got a call from my midwifery office ... they had a nice sized Pampered Chef order for me (yay ... I haven't done a show since before Christmas due to morning sickness, and this order is enough to put me back on the active consultant list!) When I left that office, I went through the coffee shop drive through lane to get dh a cappucino and me a cup of tea ... got to the window and was told the gal in front of me paid for my order! (REALLY good morning thus far!) Got home and kids were playing fairly nicely -- no fighting / arguing ... still doing well at this point. THEN -- they get into knock-down, drag out fight over a dumb Lego block ... this starts the demise of a good day .... Feed them lunch and put them for quiet time in their rooms ... start doing dishes and see things 'falling from the sky' outside the kitchen window ... go outside to see what is happening -- ds(age5) has ripped another hole in his second storey bedroom window screen and is throwing things out the window as he is leaning OUT the window ... the whole top half of his body is outside!!! Bring him downstairs and have him do Sarah's penny thing, but instead of a penny, it was a comb that had to be held to the wall (for some reason, our coins stick to the wall, even when the kids aren't holding them there). Naptime finally ends, and ds gets off his timeout ... only to start spitting at his sister and clobbering a brother ... so back into timeout he goes. By this time, we NEED to head to soccer, and I decree that ds doesn't get to play ... he ends up having to sit on the blanket I brought for the younger ones. Well, he finds a way to play and annoy EVERYONE, so I make him stand up and put his hands straight into the air until the game is over (a full hour). He FINALLY starts behaving on the way home, and another ds (age 2) decides on the way home to dump the remainder of his water bottle (at least 2 pints worth) in the cup holder and all over the back seat of the van ... So now they are all in bed (yay!) and I'm ready to crash, but waiting until dh gets home from his model RR group to fill him in on the day. Can I just go to sleep and wake up when they are grown and have kids of their own who act the exact same way?!?!?!?!? (BTW, the boys are EXACTLY like dh when he was a kid ... so I have no hope of them outgrowing this any time soon ... dh is a 33 year old kid!)

ORIGINAL: JuliaHop Um...not everyone from Pittsburgh is liberal. It can be the place of someone's birth and that person can be a conservative. See! I keep telling people it's possible to escape. Cynthia, most of what you're planting is pretty easy to grow, so I don't see you having too much trouble as long as your weather holds. All of those things like it fairly cool. If you have a heat wave you might be disappointed. I went to the garden center today. I went with both my girls and without my husband. Ummm . . . shall we just say that I figured it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission? I got lots of herbs and 2 flats of tomatoes. Ashley got a gorgeous magenta-striped rose, a bleeding heart, and a bunch of geraniums. I got a free 4 pack of mystery tomato - somehow it lost its tag, so no one knew what it was, and the cashier asked me if I wanted it. Sure, why not? I ended up with enough coupons from this trip and my last one to get a free rose bush. This particular garden center gives you coupons based on how much you spend, but they are only good the last 2 weeks of June. I took dh and the boys for ice cream when I got home - figured he couldn't shoot me if he wanted to go for ice cream, right? He hasn't looked at the checkbook yet so I'm still safe. His, I'm not at all sure of the actual presence of a brain in a male child. If we determine that Brandon actually should see a neurologist, which I'm thinking we will, I know exactly who we're going to and trust me, this guy would definitely make you wonder about that. He has the wackiest sense of humor. I've told him that you have to be a little strange to even want to be a neurologist and he agrees with me. He knows his stuff like nobody else, though.

Barely!!! I was talking to Sarah online earlier and I kept threatening to send the one to stay with her -- I told her I'd draw him and map and that she should look for him in 1-2 weeks!
