It is has been at leas5t 10 days now. It got plugged just as I was starting to feel better from a cold.

Do you have good insurance? An ENT can use one of their ear vacuums to suck stuff out if it's a wax clog. DH has to have that done on a somewhat regular basis because he has super small ear canals.

ETA- Those ear bulb kits are pretty good too.

FYI, removing ear wax is considered 'surgical' so if you have a higher co-pay for that, beware.

Ok, first two days on the new job went pretty well. Absolutely no down time and I am exhuasted. I did actually handle hay today, lol, and had to clean off my navy blue skirt and top with an air compressor when I was done! But most of my work is paperwork.

The gal next to me was listening to Positive Life Radio today, which gave me needed encouragement.

The kids are having a hard time adjusting to my working. You could definitely pray for them especially Brandon's attitude (he says he is suffering because of this change...things like, no, you can't go to youth group when you are gone all evening twice a week as it is and I am gone all day!). It takes me a little over 30 minutes to drive to work--it's way on the other side of the town that is across the river from us. Obviously it is using plenty of gas to get there, as well as time. And I don't get off 'till five.

Internet is still fixed...I haven't even had the time and energy (concurrently) to call in yet.

We are at my mom's so the boys can help her plant a tree.

I read all your posts, but there were too many to answer!

Homegrown,

I get the ear plug thing all the time, it might be a sinus infection and is draining into your ears.

Well, I tried Sudafed, nothing... I'll try it again tomorrow. I also bought an ear cleaning kit at Walmart. So far, nothing but some crackling noise. I can't imagine that it would be ear wax since I clean my ears all the time.. but who knows. maybe it is a bug?

Oh goodness, I certainly hope it's not a bug! And seriously doubt it too. Wax can build up, even if you clean your ears. Try putting ear oil in their nightly and then using the ear wax removal kit again after a week. I think you ought to see the doctor if you can.

I think it depends on your insurance, we just pay our regular co-pay for it...

I'll be praying for the boys!

Praying here too, Lisa/Ellie.

Today is supposed to be Jake's first official day of basic training. Until now he's been in reception. At least now he should be assigned to a unit and be able to give us the information needed to write to him.

That's great about the other girl listening to PLR, Jen! Praying for the adjustment for the boys. If this is a haying company, do they sometimes hire teenagers? Maybe they could work "with" you some days?

Annie, the crackling is a good sign. It means the stuff you're putting in the ear is working on the wax. Keep trying it! Or yes...see your doctor, especially if you have insurance that will cover it. They can do the same thing and have special tools for it. You may also need an antibiotic or antibiotic ear drops.

Praying for Lisa this morning.

I did end up having small group. It was fun. We learned that a friend of our host's is moving to Texas to help start up a horseback ministry there - it's an offshoot of Miracle Mountain Ranch - and does not have good tires on her truck. Funny thing is, we picked up 4 tires for the horse trailer a few months back, and it turned out we didn't need them. Those tires will fit her truck. Amazing coincidence, isn't it?
Cindy - We knew a lady in our church in AL who called those God-incidences!!

Hope everyone is having a less stressful day today!

(((Jen))) - praying for you & the boys!

Praying for Ellie too!

Annie - praying your ear clears up, that is so annoying. I have used the wax removal kits & had a doctor do it before.

Today is dd's birthday! My baby is now in double digits! Well, she actually has the timer set for the exact time she was born, so we still have 5 hrs & 51 minutes until she's really 10! So far, the storms have went away, so maybe we will get to go to the Zoo after all! Gotta go bake a cake!

It is so beautiful outside, it is hard to stay in and do school and house cleaning. I am so ready for a summer break! Summer just doesn't seem long enough anymore!

Good news! There was an error with our taxes, so we received a larger refund than expected... (bad news is that it goes towards debts), but still good!!

Just saw another orthodontist today for DD.... why are they charging an arm and a leg?!??!!! I wish DD had straight teeth. God will provide.. He WILL PROVIDE.

I cannot believe how much ordontics cost. It's really awful. I think we will have three children with braces. #1 is currently in braces to the tune of $145 per month. When she is done, in less than a year and a half, we will take #2 in, as she is obviously going to need them. We cannot take her in now. I thought #3 would be okay, but now it's not looking so great. Too bad they don't give a volume discount.

I've already been told Hannah will need braces. She has her Momma's too small mouth with too many teeth. I never had braces and I hate my teeth.

Dd #1 looked fine on the outside, but when the dentist x-rayed her, he saw that she had teeth impacted in her jaw and growing the wrong direction. She had to have a nasty surgery to have brackets put on them, with a chain coming down out of her jaw, then the chain was attached to the wire and they were slowly pulled into place. It was awful.

I have heard that she was not in surgery long, and AS was hoping that was a good thing. That was all she knew though...I'll pass along more as I hear, or maybe Russ will pop in.

How do you clean your ears? You'd be amazed at the number of people who think they are cleaning their ears and are just packing the wax harder and deeper. Ear wax isn't dirt. It doesn't need to be cleaned out unless you really have an overabundance of the stuff that interferes with your hearing.

Happy birthday to Amy's dd!

Jen, Brandon is acting like a toddler, and you can tell him I said so. I know he's not an adult yet, but he's old enough to understand how life works. You're doing what you gotta do even though it's not what you wanna do, and he can grow up just a little and make your life easier instead of harder or I've got a nice lunge whip I can mail to you. Tell him I said that too. I'm sorry you're exhausted. Isn't handling hay fun? Try 400 bales up into the loft without a hay elevator.

Praying for Lisa.

Erin technically needs braces too, but she really just has a couple of teeth that aren't straight. Her bite is fine. The dentist did send us for an ortho consult but the end result was that if we wanted braces he'd do them but didn't feel the need to push it. She doesn't want them. I will admit to breathing a sigh of relief.

I just escaped from Dh and Ds. They went to the show to see Ironman. Actually, I went with them and left after the first gory scene which was in the first 5 minutes of the movie.

Ds has a rotten attitude and keeps saying how much he hates school but won't give me a lot of details. I think part of it is having to read Little Women...

I will be glad when school is out and i don't plan on sending him back to any other school until he goes to college!!!
You all pray about that OK? Ds and Dh still don't get along well at all...I sort of know what it's gonna be like unles they BOTH change their attitudes towards each other. I get tired of being a referee...Hmmm maybe i need to go look for a job and let them two deal with their own problems Better yet I need to get license plates and insurance on the motor home and maybe take it for a nice LONG drive
somewhere. Hmm let's see I could start by going to Jen's and I could drive her kids to youth group..then I could go to OK, Ohio, and then to NY..... did I miss any states?????

Yeah, you forgot PA, but since it's between OH and NY you have to come through anyway, so I'll forgive you.
