Maybe you just don't get it.
You're acting like money and only money can solve the world's ills.
You're acting like the U.S. is this evil country that wants nothing but to keep others in poverty.
Money helps, yah, it helps, but it's not what is going to get people to change.
People have to want to better themselves.
To take personal responsibility for their actions and not claim victim mentality status.[:'(]

Using loaded words such as "stolen" and "slavery" doesn't help in the discussion.

Anyways, I find it amusing you are only including U.S. and Europe in this.
You do know that China is also in on the so-called "plundering" of Africa.

Oh well, shouldn't be surprised at the anti-American/Western attitude.
It's very prevalent and trendy right now for the West to take all the blame for every conceivable problem in the world.
The Western countries like the U.S. and Europe have stolen everything from everyone.
We should go bankrupt and give everything we have away to every country and people out there.
Only then will we be able to salvage our conscience. [8D]

They are only held back by the lack of motivation to overcome circumstances. Too many people choose poorly and get stuck in their circumstances. It does NOT have to be that way. Every person has the same opportunities to make something of themselves if they are determined enough to change their circumstances. As far as "holding the slaves" there's nothing holding anyone here.

Since Zimbabwe became a black run country things should have been hunky-dory according to your logic. Has it? Was the ethnic cleansing in Rwanda the fault of the British since it was a British colony? Is the warfare in the Sudan the fault of some European country? Is the dire poverty in the Congo the fault of the French? What about Charles Taylor in Liberia? Where does self-responsibility come in to play? What about the tin-horn dictators that have presented the distribution of foreign aide? Are these the fault of those nasty Europeans or the USA?

Show me where the bible says rich people cause the poverty of poor people. Not where rich people need to give or need to treat their "slaves" with respect. That poverty comes from some having wealth. It doesn't.

Now rich people can abuse their gift and treat others poorly, but those people have the choice to do as they please...esspecially today. Remeber, the economic systems of biblical times are different than today. Not too many rich people actually own slaves and not too many7 people are actually enslaved.

I believe in telling th truth. The word slavery is the truth. There were Africans enslaved in this country.

It's not rubber on those tires today. Synthetic rubber is what is used. That was developed when the rubber sources from Southeast Asia cut the supply before WW2. Your reasoning is illogical and doesn't make sense to me.
Like I and others have stated, it's pointless to live in the past and dwell on who has stolen from which people.
It's stupid because if we go far back enough, people have stolen items from everyone.
Take China and the silkworm for instance.
It used to be a closely guarded secret until someone smuggled it out of China and now the world has the ability to produce silk.

So by your reasoning, we have to do the same for everything else too.


I just want to know why you are fixated on what America has supposedly stolen (and Europe) from Africa and why you're so hung up on it.
I had nothing to do with anything of what happened centuries ago.
Neither has anyone else alive today.

You have yet to answer on what is taking place in Somalia, Liberia, and Zimbabwe and what took place in Rwanda? Are these because the actions of evil white men in history past? Or, like all of mankind: the result of sinful men?. Race matters not in this area

I am not fixated on it, I came into a thread with people talking about $aid to Africa.

I am merely stating some truths about the $aid to Africa.

It's a crying shame compared to what was stolen.

On the Island of Hispaniola there are two countries: the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Both discovered by those “evil white men” you so despise. While not rich in terms of the west, the Dominican Republic is fairly well off while Haiti remains dirt poor. Is Haiti’s poverty the fault of those evil white men? Or could it be their dominant religion which came from Europe? Nope, it came from Africa?

You asked why hasn’t anything been done about the Sudanese Christians yet you condemn the bombing of the home of a Sudanese warlord who are killing these Christians. You can’t have it both ways.

You still haven’t answered my questions about Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Rwanda. And I suppose the cause of malaria in the Africa was due to those evil white missionaries who came to save the noble savages?

Columbus discovered Hispaniola. He died in a spanish prison for his atrocities against the Arawak Native. there are none today because of him. A preist that suggested enslaving the africans instead of natives, wrote back to spain and told what they were doing, how they did not listen to reason in the bloodletting.


there is a famous writing you can look up. After all the killing during the Spanish Inquisition, and European taking of lands, conquering,

a native(I forget exactly where) was given his last rites by a priest after beign tortured by an European, ie the racks, etc. He asked the priest if this place -Heaven- had people like him and his friends(torturers) in it.

Would you call them evil? Telling the truth about something is not despising a whole race of people. My mom is white, I have 2 granddaughters that are "white looking".. I have been around enough to know that not all white people are mean,racist, etc. Not all Black people are either.


I merely want to point out that 0.4% or 770 million is peanuts.

I don't want to go thru every countries history..

I can find the African and the European, take the Bible and see where they were wrong.

Teach someone to fish, they can provide for themselves. Give someone a fish.... they are provided for once.....

The 'Welfare' mentality of dependance upon the state could develop which must be overcome in conjunction with the industriousness of the people.....

One should encourage builing up the community through the riches and strength that God has already endowed each of them, as well, encouraging the people to learn what could be done to facilitate stability in society.....
